He was so keen to help me find a headphone/earphone that suits me.

But in the middle of it, I lost interest in the headphones, cause I was attracted by a small black box.

Quick Question: How does iPod fare as a portable media player? I have never really believed in iPod's audio quality, but that was a long time ago, when it was first introduced.

The reason why I am considering it now is because of the sheer capacity of it. I have also read that with Rockbox, you can play FLAC files on it.

Actually, I have tried the AD700 at Jaben last week.

I did get a lot of bass. Almost the same as my M30.

After my week trial of the Martini, it's showing the weakness of my Sennheiser CX400.

I am trying to get the sound I heard at Jaben with the AD700, but I am not looking to bring something so big out and about.

How's Audio Technica's earphones? I have only tried the CK300M, which sounded very much like my CX400, only a lot cheaper (compared to the selling price of the CX400 here in the local market).

Plus, I can also do a review on the Martini if anyone is interested.

Hi guys. I am still on the iPod issue.

I have read from Red Wine that only generations 4 - 5.5 of iPod Classic has the Wolfson DAC and are fit for modifications.

It's practically impossible for me to find one in the market these days, but I think I have found a place with a lot of stock. I am just not sure if this model that they have : MB565ZP (120GB), brand new, is a generation 5.5 or generation 6. They are selling at RM 899.

I use that thing every night for my gaming. It's heavy. It's 'clampy'. It's unreasonably loud.

But I gotta say the construction is dang sturdy. Futuristic design. Awesome surround sound.

But it's a gaming headphone, so no need to even compare with any of the audiophile cans. It won't stand a chance. But for gaming, it rules!!! Especially when you blast the shotgun and feel your face vibrates!

Agreed. When I say 'unreasonably loud', I mean I can practically use that headphone as a speaker. I don't put it to my ears at that volume. When I play games with it, the volume is at about 30%, a lot less than what I need with other headphones. This is expected since the headphone is driven by the USB port, meaning, this is an active headphone. It won't work without power.

Once you get your settings right, my, your face will have some loving of shaking goodness!!!

It is THAT loud.

I am not even at 100% volume and it is loud enough to hear sitting on the table.

Please don't speak to others like they are idiots. You think I don't know we are not supposed to do that?

I know I am not as good as you guys when it comes to headphones or being an audiophiles, but that was uncalled for.
