Do you know what religious or cultural prophecies triumphed in believe? All that are said and written are a sure without the martinet timeline.
I can say, a very large tsunami is to strike on Malaysian shores. Surely, if not today, not tomorrow, not next year, it could be next fifty to hundred years and yet, if I have believers, would quote my prophecies.
After years reaching decades, it is sure that tsunamis were to strike Japan, since the probability is ultimately high as long as you're on Earth and the time is not set which gives you a period of forever for it to happen. And, now, that incident is cited as a repayment for the WWII deeds, as sealed in Christianity, that your future generations will suffer the deeds.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a religious man, but I understand the difference and logics behind these obvious religious prophecies. Science never needs faith, and religions are faith on its own.

QUOTE(makhlukasingWARE @ Jan 25 2012, 01:12 PM)
we're in 2012 already
there's still some big prophecy that needs to happen before apocalypse not yet happening, not even with the slightest sign
eg, sunrise from west
so, i dont believe that this year would b an end for us

Guess the judgement on the truth of the Mayan prophecy can only be done on the 20/12/2012.
The biggest Solar Storm is predicted to commence on 2012, which would send auroras all over the skies. Hopefully that would not be taken by the believers as the signs of truth.
Years ago, I also read that the Arctic ice will melt completely this year. Conincident much. hmm.gif
