I'm quite active in l4d2 coop. Plays only expert or advanced though nowdays. Official maps lost their challenge, as my main weapon is still magnum and grenade launcher since a long while, even in expert.

Custom maps are the way to go. If you guys haven't try Questionable Ethics v1.2, give it a try.

Stick with those top rated, final version custom maps in l4d2maps.com. Those are bug free and most of the time they are better/as well as some official campaigns.

Problem I encounter with custom maps are lack of visual navigation on large areas, especially during cresendo/switch-alarm-off events. It is no fun trying to push your way to every corner of the map with endless hordes clawing at you.

But those just tell me the map wasn't playtested enough. Top rated maps are usually K.I.S.S. like QE v1.2.

Good stuff. Players exploiting finale glitches really annoys me. Most of the time they aren't helpful teammates to start with.

Normal glitches are still tolerable, as you eventually have to move on forward. Finale glitches where you just sit and laugh for the whole duration is just lame.

kinda of a bump. suicide blitz 2, score of 98 in l4dmaps, is great fun. it's 10x better than cold stream.

Yeah, it's hard to find a group that can do expert realism.

Back then, I wanted the challenge and did the expert realism achievement ('the Real Deal') purely with bots. Bots' AI are terrible partners in Expert.
