Well, if you're buying a new MBP there is no more option for matte screen, so you'll need to decide weather to get an anti-glare or not .. unless of course you're buying a second hand MBP. Only option to go for a matte screen is to get an external display.. Anyway, I'm not into photo editing etc. but I rather choose matte over glossy anytime.. but with the later release of MBPs, Apple seems to have away with this option ..

Gee.. I was wrong then Reading further, the HiRes with Anti-Glare is actually a matte screen. I should've choose this one instead .. thanks for pointing out ..
