anyone here still not updating their Nexus One to the leaked froyo?
just wonder because i helped my friend downgrading his nexus and i can say the 3g connection improvement between Froyo and Eclairs is significant. |

QUOTE(basSist @ Jun 7 2010, 08:40 PM) QUOTE(arinpsycho @ Jun 7 2010, 11:04 PM) checked on the cyanogen update....the 5.0.8 is coming up but not froyo edition. Still it includes the latest radio which is from froyo. Maybe you guys can give it a try. It's still not considered as stable, so, you need to download it from cyanogen github. I just continue using froyo because eventhough it's not official, but overall, it still workable for my daily use. The battery consumption also to me is great. If I use phone calls, email and facebook alone for 1hrs ++ per day, the phone could last up to 1.5 to 2 days!!! If rarely use, it could last 2 and a half days. Thats my experience in Froyo for stock eclairs / custom eclair's rom (desire, cyan) is there a way for us to flash froyo's radio only?i tried to my phone, but i lost root because of it. n i end up messing up the custom recovery.. luckily everything went back to normal once i flash the older radio.. |

erm actually i'm not saying about speed, but stability.. sorry.
what i notice is, with froyo there's no more signal drop when i'm moving from 3G to E area.. |

QUOTE(chowlala @ Jun 8 2010, 02:31 PM) Then use either WCDMA preferred or GSM/AUTO PRL. hmm.. yes of coz la we can do that.. but with Froyo, i dont encounter the drop signal anymore.. I use GSM/AUTO PRL. Saves more battery and tends to have better stability overall. now my device is back to custom Eclair's rom and the drop is back. so while that method might somehow able to avoid drop signal from happening, it's not actually a way to solve the drop signal issue. |
