1970s expired red tea - Not cheap for an expired tea. Taste is not that bad. Hard to describe...

I love this type of tea and their tin container!
QUOTE(auhckw @ Nov 27 2011, 08:32 PM)
1970s Doudeli Liubao - The old, woody, herbal taste is superb. This tea is very clean, don't have the typical wet stored taste for liubao. Lasted many brew. At the 10+ brew onward when it is light, it taste like aged liuan too.

We then tried the 2003 version of this. 1 word = Yuck. Price difference about 15x

Hey, next time I bring the super aged liubao and we can drink together... i bring my teacup of course biggrin.gif

Then a senior pointed me to a lot of old Menghai/Dayi back and asked me to see for myself... are these all fakes?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I was quite convinced already that I would buy more regardless real/fake, I liked the taste and will buy it for drinking. Before I make the purchase I asked my seniors, what other tea with the pink price tag that has the same kind of strong camphor taste. After some thoughts, they couldn't come up with the next best.

So finally, I went and bought 1 toong, which add up to total of 10 (unopened) + 1 (opened) pieces.

I will buy some more of this progressively whenever I have more funds. This is not the end...  laugh.gif

Look beyong the price and seek only the taste, to me, you have upgraded!

in the world of tea, I save money most the time. When yuanfun arrive must spend spend spend cause when no more yuanfun no more interesting stuff.

Drinking tea is not just drinking for health or to relax but share with ppl. That is why drinking tea best to have at least a partner to share and compare. and grow together.
