Weekends should be ok for me. Do PM me your contact then. I will drop you and SMS when I get it.
Oh, the Yuan Yuan custom pot takes quite awhile to be sold comparing to the shop you frequent right?
*
I have PMed you my contact. The Legend of Tea packaging for the tea looks nice. Did they say which factory / recipe, etc... or just say aged tea?

I'm not too close with Yuan Yuan, so not too up2date about them. But I know lately they are pushing Dayi already (which they used to Anti).

Yes, I like the container a lot that's also the reason for my purchase. I forgotten to ask them whether it's a green aged pu er or cooked aged pu er but from my guess should be green? I have not drunk or experience drinking green aged pu er yet. Any ideas? Colour looks like cooked. Does aged green pu er also produces red colour soup?
I have a Dayi green iron beeng pu er which was a gift. 500gms and that tasted very woody, flowery and astringent so I broke it up and store inside my claypot jar. Hopefully it will taste better in the few years to come.
*
If it is cleaned stored, yes.

One thing we noticed, broken up Puerh is not so good to be stored in yixing jar (non glazed) for long term. The tea somehow taste flat / less flavor after keeping it there too long.

Really? But I thought by breaking it up it's able to aged a bit faster?(or so I thought). rclxub.gif  doh.gif
*
Breaking it up will aged faster, but where you store it matters. I was told that Porcelain or Glazed jar for raw puerh is recommended.

I have not personal experienced it though...

2011 Dayi 92 Fang Cha Raw - In year 92, Menghai released a batch of fang cha which is quite famous now. In year 2011, Dayi produced this tea and call it using the y92 name. This tea was launched in the recent tea carnival with limited quantity. The main stock is not out yet. Today I managed get few pieces of it.

Taste? Bitter Sweet leaving good taste in the mouth and saliva flow. Not too strong, but since this is new (Nov released and just arrived), we have to evaluate it again in the next few weeks.

QUOTE(ArNg @ Jan 6 2012, 09:16 PM)
On second thought I will probably keep my money and invest in some other teas. In all honesty I can't finished what I have currently. I have 1 tong of Mengku year07 and other brands as well. I'm not looking into making big profit but just the fun of buying and selling it few years down the road for some profit. Dayi it's too strong for my taste bud. But for investment wise I think it's the better since bro Auhckw has invested alot in Dayi.
*
If you want to buy/sell, go with Dayi. The market demand is bigger. Chances of you go wrong is lower but make sure you buy from the right shop, there are some selling fakes here. Price appreciation also better with Dayi. In general Raw price appreciates better than Ripe.

If you buy to drink, then go any brands as long you like the taste now.

To sell back to teashop, they normally want it back in Carton. If you have in Toong or Pieces quantity, teashops normally won't take it unless it is very oldddddddd. Otherwise, you can sell to friend who doesn't have it and looking for it.

As for Dayi taste too strong? Taste them when they are 10 years above not now lo... laugh.gif

2012 Dayi Dragon Zodiac Raw - Light smoky sweet kind of taste. Good saliva flow. Not strong.

If compared to the previous zodiacs,
-Tiger (y10) is much stronger (barely able to drink from brew 3 onwards without soaking).
-Rabbit (y11) is slightly weaker

Dragon comes in between Tiger and Rabbit.

Nice Toong box. Nice Beeng wrapper. Nice dragon watermark. Tea? Should have been better...

Edit: Though this tea is meant for Dragon year (y2012), but the packing date is Dec y2011, so it is a y2011 tea.

what do you mean finger print gone? Mine is normal one but still very rough surface. The salesman said all is like that no smooth one.
*
Yours is rough, but consider the smooth version.

This is the rough version, but same clay... just the process of filtering is different

09-18/03/12 or something like that, temple place with some tea vendors in it, near Jalan Sultan will be holding some fair. Dayi lovers (AUHCKW!!! WHERE ARE YOU???) should drop by
*
I'm still here, just didn't go much tea shop since I started new job. Moreover, new year not much new Dayi tea out yet. That said, I have 3 Dayi tea (custom) from Dec 2011 arrived at tea shop here waiting for me to collect only drool.gif

I'm aware of the fair. Will try to drop by but I doubt there will be anything nice within temple (association). Too small space.
