The Sigma 50mm F1.4 is very heavy n bulky.. but i heard review says the sharpness wide open is better than the sony version right?
HAHAHHAA.. PRE-haul.. i like tat.. no need 2bulan.. tak sampai 2 minggu.
I don think im ready to move to Fullframe yet... I still havent feel the urge to upgrade as i think my A700 still can fullfill my need at the moment... By upgrading to fullframe i believe it cant help me improve my photography much. I rather spend on lens that can help me achieve something differently. I could have stick with A700 for a while.

My only thought is that... the 50mm on fullframe is just such excellent focal length. I WISH i have that focal length prime f1.4 on my apsc body as a walkaround lens. but the 35mm F1.4G is bloody expensive... so much more expensive than the 50mm~~
*
i'd rather not spend, but instead squeezeeee the last of the remaining juice from my A700 before skipping higher up... tongue.gif

porkchop, your case of bursting 2 shots and getting uneven exposures for both shots is not contributed by the lens. that would be due to the environment you are in that time, having bright lights and dark shadows all in the same scene while using spot metering mode. another reason would be due to a burst of flash into a nearby reflective object rendering the metering done by the camera to go into an exposure frenzy.

well, i'm using the matin, got it for RM28. and its been on my main body ever since (transfered from my A100 to my A700 on the day i got the new body)

QUOTE(zstan @ May 4 2010, 11:18 AM)
haha..but using flash makes it heavier if u carry two bodies, both with flash guns for the whole day..D3 can fly to iso 8000?  tongue.gif

blush.gif your children?XD going to buy that lens soon!!

zstan, so u own a D3?

hazril , i dont really like the strap to be extra long. ideal length for me is when i sling my cam at the side, the cam clears my elbow effortlessly without me moving my arm out of the way for the cam to slide through. in other words, the cam is always at elbow's length away from my neck at all times. any shorter, it will tangle up in a twist lock with my arm when i wanna move it from side to front, any longer, it will be knocking against my crotch when i walk around with the cam hanging in front wink.gif

ohmygosh....i was talking about the previous post of someone saying its very heavy to carry two bodies with flash to take photos for the whole day event...

so i just jokingly suggested he used D3s instead where he can boost his iso really high and save the weight of the flashguns..

and no, i didn't take into the consideration that the d3 is maybe heavier than an a700 plus the flash gun... sad.gif
*
i understand your sentiments, and it was ieR that said that statement about having 2 bodies...

but its another matter altogether if u mention that u can just blast away with high ISO without the use of flash at any given event and having the 'near' same result in the end, that statement, well, to put it bluntly, is seriously mega-n00b IMHO.
