Aiyo, where got poison with Nonac. I share pictures of different focal length only ma. I didn't even bother to mention which lens or brand. At least you guys get to see some different or special effect lens e.g FishEye, Super Telephoto, Ultra Wide Angle, Super Close Up Macro, Tilt-Shift, Uber Big Aperture lens. biggrin.gif

ieR: do u mean tat, the noise is actually not that bad and can say it's nothing tat spoil the photo?
Nah, it depends. If the picture is too noisy and distracting, it's still a sucky shot whether you manage to capture the moment or not.

QUOTE(shootkk @ Apr 21 2010, 10:15 AM)

Say you are shooting a wedding and here's the bride and her mom embracing impromptu with tears flowing down their cheeks and you got the shot. For people looking at this shot, would they say, "Wow! Look at the noise!!" ?
Why not? If the noise is really horrible and distracting. Capturing the moment in acceptable noise quality is both equally important.

QUOTE(Wonka @ Apr 21 2010, 01:28 PM)
Which one has nicer IQ between Minolta 24mm and 28mm? Would 24mm b too wide ah? Cause I plan to change my setup to all primes. Optimus primes. Hahahah~
*
Going all prime huh? Trust me, your wallet gonna bleed hard. But the sharpness and bokeh gonna blow your socks off. My 16-35, 24-70, 70-200, 100-400 stays at home most of the time and I'll never leave my house without my primes tongue.gif

QUOTE(Wonka @ Apr 21 2010, 03:16 PM)

50mm itself is quite a nice walkabout lens. smile.gif

Planning to change only. Shouldnt all primes be cheaper? But a hassle to change lens every time when I wanna shoot. Getting slow n steady instead of spending an amount of money on 1 lens.

I love my 50mm n it's always attached to my body. Just sometimes I feel its a little too tight at times. So plan to get either a 24mm or 28mm. But I'm keeping my 50mm of course. smile.gif
*
Primes is good that it forces you to use your leg-zoom to compose. In return you get razor sharp images and creamy bokeh. Have you ever thought of Siggy 30mm f1.4 HSM? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(ieR @ Apr 21 2010, 05:39 PM)
well, the first most obvious point is, non of us are professional "editor" hence, whatever video we shoot, we never get result like those :/ those are undergone editing and encoding cut paste etcetc, look for raw video from 7D, wink.gif

the point is must be friendly, out of the camera if possible, undergone PP video are just another production video that many of us can never reach. sad.gif just my 2 cent
*

Ouch, never did I expect you to be so underestimating yourself. If an ordinary person like those few fellas could do, I don't see why it's impossible for us. It's not like the video is heavily edited with special effects or what. smile.gif

many of us do no have those type of time to edit, cut paste etc, we i just prefer 'out of camera' vid wink.gif i did editing(15min to hours videos), but it was years ago, and i do not own a powerful pc, still using window XP... i doubt it can even process AVCHD properly. smile.gif

now, i just throw my video(normal HD format) to my partner to do the editing, coz i am too lazy to do it tongue.gif. when i buy A7xx, and if i requires to edit, then no choice buy new pc lor
*
Then I suppose that's the user's problem aka preference. tongue.gif

QUOTE(ieR @ Apr 21 2010, 05:36 PM)

so if u DIY a bigger bounce card, it will result in increase of % front fill light, the bigger the bounce card, the more it light comes from front, u notice the cheek will start to pop up oily look like PNS.
I beg to differ. I myself using a huge bounce card and I don't see how it look like PnS. It's the matter of how one control the settings. smile.gif

QUOTE(shootkk @ Apr 21 2010, 06:03 PM)

The main reason we use a ceiling that's low enough to bounce is because the ceiling provides a huge space for the light to bounce from thus creating a large light source that is the main cause of 'soft' light. Isn't that correct?
*
I personally dislike ceiling bounce method as it'll create a harsh shadow under your subject's neck.

And how much would that be? I love primes but im too lazy to interchange lens and I dont have money to get 2 bodies. Haahaha.
IINM it's around RM1800+-. Going prime doesn't mean that you need to have an extra body. I myself using 11 primes and 4 zooms and I still stick to 1 body most of the time rather than bringing all 4 bodies out. Bringing extra body adds up to the weight of your equipments resulting you to get tired faster. smile.gif

Nah, I hardly use blower. Whenever I swap my lenses, I'll make sure my body face down with one hand holding the current lens and another holding the next lens, then I remove the current lens and immediately I plug in the next lens.

QUOTE(ieR @ May 2 2010, 02:55 AM)
sorry Viking, and my apologies to the person who complain.

okay, stick back a little on the diamond, but with photography term~

now i officially turn my diamond topic to 'how to shoot diamond' and share the knowlegde i gathered so far from other people.

diamond, well, depend on CUT, it Will sparkle on its own, that's the beauty of diamond, and only the low CUTting diamond do not shine as good. shooting it directly under halogen light will have too much sparkle, u cant capture the 'cutting' diamond photography is about 'cutting' not just sparkle. even a nice cutting shot is better then a over sparkled pic.

when u shot it with flash, the sparkle might spoil the whole picture, best is to have the room naturally lit up (bouncing around) or have a light as low(angle) as the diamond from one corner. where it pushes the lightwave to the other side...

mmmm i will try it out then share it out to u guys, anyone has idea or contribution to share? maybe anyone who shoot jewelry or accessories subject before?
It's fine as long you guys always keep this in mind. I hate to send people for vacation unless he / she behaves like a retard.

A700 + 35mm F1.4G vs A850 + 50mm F1.4 (picture quality , value?)

Can these 2 combination be compared side by side?
Which will u choose lets say u already own A700 and the 50mm F1.4. Both A850 and 35mm F1.4G i think has almost similar price.. rm 5500++  laugh.gif

I'll take A850 + Siggy 50mm f1.4 HSM anytime. It's ff yo and the A700 is already like ancient body waiting to be replaced. biggrin.gif

The 35mm f1.4 is a lousy and soft crappy lens. Siggy pwn that lens anytime. Hence I would suggest A850 considering it's ff.

a850 or wait for a700 replacement...???

A850 anytime, A700 replacement will still be a cropped sensor. Might as well take a bigger hop straight to ff rather than the same cropped sensor again.
