smile.gif I usually say there's not much point in having antivirus for consumers... businesses have liability... so I'd have no comment there smile.gif

um... if for professional use, then get the Spyder II, that's a calibration tool.

if one-off, there's someone offering a service, but for lappies only...

yes, you can install 2x 4GB RAM, on your own. the thing is, your MBP comes with 2x 2GB, so my advice is get 1x 4GB first. I saw it around 700+.

try with 6 GB ... cos most consumer apps (including Adobe stuff) only supports up to 4GB. any more is just wasted sad.gif

@CreamMilk
IINM, if the application is not fully 64-bit, then it will not read RAM above the 4GB maximum.
effectively wasting your 4GB.
my own use is mainly on Apple apps, so I've used a 6GB Mac... was very very nice smile.gif

there's no evidence to support this whole 8-12 hours. Apple > Batteries

over there it just says "charge fully" ... typically, you can charge to full within 4 hours... even while using.

seriously, please don't just accept what any forumers say about batteries & so on... do some research... forums = not always accurate.

again, where does the service tech get his information?
the correct explanation : please don't tl;dr here smile.gif

1. open your new Mac > start using / charging.
2. in the first few days (max is 7 days) charge till full, leave it for 2 hours, then use it it till empty. *empty means use it till it switches off automatically*
3. leave it on sleep for 5+ hours.
4. charge it again.

The entire process above is called calibration. I taught my colleagues to explain this to all new Mac buyers, and even print out the Apple KB article for those who need it.

@lexcorp
Apple is very very particular about repairs, parts and so on. Some Apple partners have tried to con Apple out of parts, service charges and so
forth.

So Apple doesn't actually operate a full-service center here. Dell is not a competitor to Apple, just like Proton is not a competitor to Porsche.

is this a laptop or desktop?

AFAIK, they only offer that option at the time you buy your Mac. You'd need to contact 3rd parties for that after the Mac was purchased.

Feel free to contact Machines / Switch / MacCity / Epicentre...
