aiyo. Im so struggling between mac and pc now.
either build a beasty pc or get 17" macbook pro.
I need some poison from you guys. cause now im form 4, after form 5 i'll be going to college.
dang!
*
I don't think you need a 17" in college, cause its heavy, a mbp 13" will be more than enough for a college student. smile.gif

Some ppl actually claimed the i7 is slightly cooler than i5.

Like mine, I have no complains about heat so far, cool to touch even when plugged onto power with GT330M enabled. The only time I stressed my MBP is when doing video encoding, it reaches 100 degrees before the fan speed up to bring it down to 80...  sweat.gif

You stressed your MBP kao kao izzit...? brows.gif
*
LOL!! I actually saw some tech sites saying that the i7 model went up to 107 degree even the fan is in high speed while benchmarking... hmm.gif

I need some advice here, my macbook 5,1 2008 version aluminium's battery got abit swollen!

Kinda worried if it might explode.

Need some advice on what should I do, my warranty is over and I do not want to buy another battery since it's 56 cycles!

Thanks.

Look like same as mine. Just buy the new battery will do. No need to explain so long since nothing can do with it.

but it is only 1 and the half years, is apple products that fragile? I remembered that last time i used ibook G4 for 5 years which do not have this problem.

Sometimes it's really down to the user. It din happen on all MacBook pro carried the same model, so we can't conclude it's "fragile", innit?

A year and half, runs 56 cycles. It seem odd to me
*
odd but true, 56 cycles, i do not bring my macbook out often, i'm using it normally, room temperature.

Went to machines today to ask about the battery swollen problem and I'm not sure if he is a certified technician or not, he said I should unplug when my macbook is fully charge, or not it will overcharge. Is that true?

my friend just bought a new external hard disk for his macbook..but it seems like he cannot write/copy anything to the hard disk..macbook detects the hard disk but if we copy anyhting we can't paste it in...anyone knows why this happens? hmm.gif
*
If the external hard disk is in NTFS format, ask his friend to install NTFS-3G or reformat it into Mac Journaled format
