Hi, guy. I got a very funny experience about my old PowerBook 17 Inch 1.67GHz with 2GB Memory RAM, previously I`m using Mac Os X 10.5.8 (Leopard), & also install a lot of application like Microsoft Office 2008, Adobe CS3. But I found that my PowerBook performance are very slow, really slow like hell.

Will feel lagging on mouse cursor from dock, even watch youtube video also feel very much of lagging, sweat.gif

So, today I try to format it back to Mac Os X 10.4.11 (Tiger). After complete install & fully run software update program. I found that it is really surprise me. Everything running very smooth now, no more lagging on playing youtube video.

Currently I still not install the CS3 & also Microsoft Office 2008, so still don`t know the performance of it.

I hope someone can share with me, is your PowerBook running smooth with Mac Os X 10.5 (leopard)????

And may I ask currently what version of iLife, iWork & also Mircrosoft Office you running now??

Thank you.

I just want to ask u something, im  a new user of MBP.

How much it cost u to upgrade 320gb 4 the HDD?.
U sent to apple service center, or upgrade it by yourself?,
And it will not void warranty?

Brother, I highly recommend you buy the Hitachi 320GB 7200RPM (7k320) Hard Drive, it is super fast. Write speed can go between 70MB - 80MB. My previous 250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive write speed only around 35MB. Currently I`m using it in my MacBook Pro. It will cost you around RM250 - RM280. laugh.gif

Hm... that is depend on what you need first. Try to think about what you need that MacBook do for you first, then decide deeply which model you go for (13" or 15").

For me, I`m doing a lot of design work, some photo edit, so I need a big screen with high end graphic.

If you only using it for doing normal work, like Microsoft Office, surf internet, then you should go for MacBook White & 13" MBP, smile.gif
