maybe can consider buy a external super drive??
removing the superdrive maybe can cut down some of the footprint and weight, most important is that nowadays i hardly using the superdrive at all, kinda useless the superdrive

Hmm.. optical drive can be optional, I would love to see next gen ports on it (usb3 or fw1600/3200).

Depends which model, I would say the drive generally weight around 8pcs DVD. Quite some weight there.
Ofcourse, we are talking redesign here, not just simply take out the drive and left it hollow.
*
yeap... usb3.0 is a must.
ya, impossible jz to left it hollow. now we can replace the superdrive with a second hdd and make it raid 0 (13 and 15inch)

ok, im hoping a second gpu (sli maybe?) im not sure whether this is possible or not, maybe wei u can tell me? (2 discrete gpu. on better battery life mode one gpu will be activated and while on performance mode, both gpu will activate to hv performance boost with sli)

haha, dream on maybe? rolleyes.gif

Rofl I doubt that MBPs will have sli.... For them to upgrade the processor and the graphic cards also take so long... Not sure how long you going to wait for the SLI to come.. Haha.. And why would laptops have 2nd HDD... Dont think its feasible =)
*
for extra storage capacity and raid 0.

yeap, that not going to happen for sure. what can we see in the next revision of mbp?

if u bought it from online store don send ur MBP to those reseller. call apple care and if ur MBP is within 14days of purchase, ask Apple to collect it for a new replacement. if ur MBP is nt a CTO unit then u will get ur brand new MBP within 2-3 days after Apple collected ur faulty MBP. this will save ur time going out of the house and u don hv to wait 7days or more for the repair.. xD
*
i dont think there is any 14days return policy in malaysia...

Hehehe, i would get a 17" for occasional travel + a low end 13" for daily travel, or even an iPad if it get the job done. Even 15" is heavy for amount of stuff I have to carry around. But then again, that's me. One can always disagree. Just aim at what you really need, not want. Laptop get replaced much faster than the desktop. I don't really see the point to invest too much. Unless you keeping for the next 3-4 yrs or don't mind about resell.

agree with u, im kinda regret brought my 15ich mbp... laptop get replaced too fast.. should hv go for 13inch.. save a few K for others sweat.gif

nope there is no way you could do that, but your battery is quite old and has pass its one year warranty, what you could do is to call applecare and ask them about it, but tough luck you can only call em next monday. worst come to worst you have to get a new one.
*
sad.. this gotta cost me alot...will try to call them on monday...
my battery is only on 64 cycles.. but adi start swollen..

new battery from apple... but i have to pay for that cry.gif

after a few calls to apple care and gone through all the hassel, unfortunately i do not get a free battery replacement from apple care, no luck maybe. but i do get a free discount coupon from them. So, i jz purchase a new battery from apple online store with some discount..

jz to confirm, should i take out my battery when using it with power adapter??? a machines technician/worker told me that i should do so to prevent the battery from swollen but i ask her then how about the new mbp with non-removable battery? speechless her notworthy.gif
