Okay, so I've joined the fray and put in my order for a MBP 13". Now I'm checking my inbox every couple of minutes and freaking out like a new dad waiting outside the delivery room :|

Haha I think you're in the same batch with me.

Try calling DHL, apparently they gave me a new tracking number as I was having the same status with you.

Make sure you complaint about this smile.gif

Ooh, thanks for the tip. I'll give them a ring.

(update: Yeah, my stuff is stuck in customs clearance as well, same as you.)

I just spoke with DHL--right now the shipment is in 'break bulk' which is apparently the stage they start unpacking all the individual packages from the pallet. Only problem is...they have to get confirmation from Apple Singapore before this! So there's a small chance we'll get it today, bigger chance everything will arrive tomorrow. Depends on Apple Singapore now.

Has anyone else had problem with pitting/corrosion on the hand rest of their aluminum unibody MBPs? I've only had mine for some 2 months and little black specs/pits are starting to show up where I usually rest my wrists. I am NOT. HAPPY.

I don't use hand creams or anything, and I don't wear a watch/jewelry, so the only cause of the corrosion I can think of is my sweat. They look like black specks (a bit like in dvlz's photo, but smaller), except that when you run your finger over them you can feel the pit/depression! It's terrifying. I'm going to take it over to the service center downtown next to the Australian High Commission on Monday for the staff to take photos and tell me what can be done.
