I only used ColorEyes and Spyder 2 express, never tried with the Spyder 3 Elite. You are facing issues?

erm.. i m not sure.. since this is the first time i deal with calibrator.. after i calibrate my MBP.. i think the tone become cooler a bit and it is quite obvious in my Dell 2409(is it because of cheap monitor?).. and when i use the Spyder to calibrate my other laptop (old Dell Precision) / other LCD (cheap range RM500 - RM600), the outcome generally adjusted the monitor tone cooler(blueish)... i dunno what is wrong eh..

and for some of my old display... the cd/m2 cant adjust up to the recommended value.. maximum can reach for my dell laptop is about 50 only (i think the LCD gone d right? tongue.gif) and for other LCD monitors that placed near the window, the cd/m2 value needs to be higher due to the ambient is brighter right? but the value cant be adjusted too high due to the monitor capability i think..

and generally, after calibration, i will get blueish result especially for older monitor.. what is wrong here? anyone knows?

Actually what's with the calibration software for ar? hehe sorry ar..i dono..

to calibrate your Monitor color, it's a hardware + software stuff.. i using Spyder 3.. but my main concern to buy this is to make both of my monitors (MBP and LCD) color look alike.. it has something called "studio match" to do that.. but i m still learning how to use it effectively..

Interesting, usually when I calibrate my Mac with my Spyder 2, there is a screen prompt to show the difference. Actually the moment I turn on the calibration software and start calibrating, my entire screen turns blueish or "cooler". After calibration it looks normal.

Sometimes it could be the case of the software as well.

The rule of thumb when calibrating your monitor is to calibrate it in an environment where you generally process your photos. Meaning the ambient lighting is correct and not whether you turn it on brighter or in a dark room.

I don't really like Sypder calibration tools, doesn't seem that accurate at times. I am resorting to borrowing my friend's ColorEyes to calibrate my monitors now tongue.gif

yea.. for my MBP, when i m at the spyder proof page, if i press the switch button to see the before and after calibration... before is so damn blue ( like when u change your display profile to display instead of "color LCD") but after, it looks nice.. but i face the blueish problem on my other monitor.. i just spent nearly RM900 for the spyder.. aih.. sad sad sad.gif sad.gif

if ur windows gets virus, it'll just affect ur windows, not ur mac.

however, rmember that u might transfer an infected file into mac. it still wont affect ur mac, but if (in OSX) u share the infected file with someone else, they can get infected

lol.. so bad to non Mac user sweat.gif btw.. how u guys clear those .exe virus in thumbdrive using mac.. if those viruses are locked? and cant be unlocked in the info?

How effective will the palmguard be???

as i can see, it covers the top part, not the edges, i fear the most is the heat, place a plastic on top, plus the mbp has no proper ventilation like an alienware or a hp envy..

i m using Moshi Palmguard.. and i can say that it is perfect for your MBP!! highly recommended..

Added on July 31, 2010, 12:47 ambtw.. someone experience can start a new thread for the MBP soon.. i m not very active.. so i think maybe crazyee or dvdplayground can do it?
