The score is actually very near, just that Verdasco couldn't get a point. Even a deep and angled volley Nadal could return... LOL...Godlike!!~

And Nadal is getitng smart, he knows when to skip, and when to defend his title already. We won't see the weakling being bullied @ grasscourts or hardcourts anymore. Djokovic really has to work really hard to maintain his No.2. Most probably he'll lose it.

Because my friend bought lots of Trainers and he wanna use them. What a major disadvantage. I never really play with it... He hit the ball like Ah Lian only can get it deep ad... @@

Matches on a clay court is more interesting compared to a hard-court.
I feel its the best surface for spectators!

@gcooi,

verdasco signed with dunlop already... sad.gif
sad thing cos of the money...
Of course la bro. He already knew, what ever he do, he wont be able to compete with the like Fed,Nadal,Djoker and Murray day in day out (CONSISTENTLY) . So why bother about getting number one, when he can cash in thru sponsorship deal. A very smart move i think.

Watched the replay yesterday of his match against nadal... nadal was crazy man.. every shot also he can return.. i think he's back to his best already...
Verdasco didnt play that bad but the score was really not a nice reflection of the match...
*
Totally agreed....Nadal will b major threat n the man to beat for this claycourt season....hopefully he can keep healthy n avoid any injury until Roland Garros rclxms.gif

Nadal will be a threat??
Nadal is the KING. The question is who can threaten him on clay.
Soderling perhaps? With his powerful flat angle forehands.

I highly doubt anyone will trouble Rafa except Rafa himself, he looks like he is pacing his tournaments well, he has 5 days rest before Rome, ATP 1000 starts up, after that he can catch a well deserved break, hopefully he does not play Madrid!!!

He got dethrone last year remember? As far as i admit he's d King of Clay, he still needs to win Roland Garros back...but if he keeps playing like he did he against Verdasco, then i dont have anyone in mind that can stop him....Soderling? Let him try his luck again this year which i dont think he got any hehehe biggrin.gif

Yeah, I hope Nadal skips Madrid too.
Since its played on high altitude the trajectory of the ball would also be different.
Need a lil getting use to again when they switch back to the clay at Roland Garros.
Furthermore, the Frech Open starts right after Madrid.
