Sorry sophi, not my intention to shoot people, esp when it concerns finances, I apologise if I offended you in any way
I am anal when it comes to playing, one set up I string slightly higher as that racket for coaching, mainly feeding balls, etc.
Main playing stick esp when got soooo many big buaya around that almost everyday throw 'bet' in my face.....this stick make me richer not poorer, also that stick many a times, provide me food and water, so my main playing stick I must jaga!!!
Use what you're happy with, if it works for you,and you puas puas, what more can you ask for!! <3
If you use synthetic, and you're happy with the low tension, can experiment with thinner gauge, naturally string durability will become an issue, but if it gives you more, feel, control, power, can't hurt to try
I have not personally tried the Kobra, so I cannot make an informed decision, but judging from specs off tennis-warehouse, it could be a waste of money to string the Kobra at low tension, but like I said earlier, you won't ever know, if you didn't try. If its cheap, try lah, if you have tried a certain tension on your 'stiffer' racket, please make a mental note and try and recall how it played like, with what brand of string and at what tension, use the cheap poly at say 45 lbs, see if you like anything.....
Hahhaah did you manage to see Prince of Persia? Princess how?!?!
For question 3, thats MY personal choice and preference lah bro, of course if you are making a living off tennis, you'd be slightly particular in your rackets and strings.Regarding Luxilon it depends, though Luxilon is made famous by ATP/WTA players, its because they can afford to cut their strings every 5 games, unless you're a millionaire, and can afford it, by all means go ahead, but I myself, cannot afford this so I opt for the next best thing.Less picky but still abit picky lol.
If you go 45 lbs you may be surprised, you may get more power and more SPIN, yes thats not a typo, I personally get more spin at 45lbs than at 55lbs, though at 55lbs, my balls MAY land a tad shorter, but the 'jump' off the ground is less at 55lbs than 45lbs.
Have you tried say for example Blackcode on your Kobra, at 60 lbs? If you have you should try it at 45lbs, please note, YOU will NEED some time to re-adjust to compensate for your stroke, give it 2-3 hitting sessions, DO not play a match straight away, coz very high chance you are not biasa with the low tension yet!!!!
45 lbs on a 100 sq racket, I'd do it if I had a 100 Sq racket!!!lol.
hehehehe
nvm lah i dun intend 2 try with the kobra also since my... aherm... the other racket havent strung yet, and its more stiffer. i will try it at 45lbs with the cheap string
