:-O even kev also kipas me......wah klboy you so 'power' today....must be kuat chong your apdgt.......but I only target Wilson (must be firm)
Only racket I have my eye's on is the BLX 6.1 tour, I know it is slightly muted, not what I like I prefer the 'raw' feel of the k6.1 tour, but BLX6.1 tour could be a good investment once I am lo-pak, age, sigh hehehehehe, if 60 year old uncle using blx 6.1 tour you will know who lah!!!! GAYA mesti ada!!! <3 |

QUOTE(vobs @ Jun 5 2010, 03:51 PM) i only tried it for a while, since everyone is eyeing to try it. all in all, i was surprise with its comfort when the ball hit the string bed eventhough its a high stiffness racquet, unlike other players racquet that gives control, this one generate its own power too. and it has this dampen feel, dunno its the smily dampener or the GT material. Thanks mate, for your short informed review~! when u hold it in your hand it feels abit heavy, but when u started playing with it, the swingweight reduced to a very maneuverable weight. I am a wilson guy too:) thats why i will still stick to my serena william racquet hehehe, and im a non dampener guy, but after trying a dampened feel of BLX (without dampener), im kinda hooked with the dampened feel so from now on i will start using a dampener till one day i can buy a BLX:) Added on June 5, 2010, 3:53 pm errmm, i will suggest u try the 6.1 95 and tour before u decide:) the 95 is also quite good wei:) I dunno if I'd like the dampened feeling that much now.....I like the crisp and tight & may be slightly boardy feeling lol, but for sure, once I am Ah-Pek, I don't think I will be using the k6.1 tour, have to find something softer, and muted. Regarding the BLX 95, I dun think that racket suited to be coz I have cracked more than 5 Wilson's (very lucky within warranty time frame), I have cracked easily K95 16x19 or is it 16x18, and the K-Blade team, and a few other cannot exactly remember, x-p I have to stick to 'solid' box beam rackets, anything 'hollow', and I will most likely crack them ie while serving or hitting a overhead........luckily the people who's racket I cracked were all really good friends, naturally I compensated them, by letting them use a replacement racket till their warrantied racket came back, lesson learned from me :-/ |

wah klboy your apdgt naik harga man!!!! heheheh
@yan so how, did you manage to get the grommets in? if not use very warm water, NOT boiling water to soften them up , then you can manipulate them easier, or use a hair dryer takes longer but same result....also I dunno if I read it wrong, did you use a Head Radical MP grommet on your ncode 95 or on your Head Youtek Radical MP? x-p |

QUOTE(vobs @ Jun 7 2010, 10:05 AM) its not kipas, its kena racun !!!! lol wahhh I must kipas or racun you abit then!those wanted is either of the three i mentioned, i wont take all la hehehe Prestige's weight is not my cup of tea so off leow, k6.1 tour only for pro like u bro:) too heavy for me as im not strong:) how bout u, what u currently using? Who's 'kung-fu' so good racun you so fast target so many rackets!?!! I suspect 'yan'...he is smooth talker No lah I am not pro, at all far from it, I am abit on the heavy side, so for me, the rackets are doable, if I lost 25 kg from my bellly, then may be I cannot swing both the k6.1 tour and prestige pro,but to be honest, when you hold it static, not moving, for sure it feels heavy, but when you start your swing and contact the ball, the racket does almost all the work, thats my opinion on that anyway.Different strokes for different people, very hard to say got 2 people play the exact same way. hahaha I am using k6.1 tour, I 'modded' abit let me share picture, with you, almost everyone has seen it, as I have posted it multiple times. QUOTE(vobs @ Jun 7 2010, 11:11 AM) fulamak, black and white, u spray painted it or send to shop to colour? hahhah color myself loh, take 2-4 weeks of sanding to remove original paint , every day spend 30-45 mins, hard time consuming work :-/hahha bro, dont put bro yan on the table la hehehe, its not him, not anyone else, its me racun sendiri for a spare racquet as i break strings often and also ever searching for a arm friendly racquet that will suit me, that is why went to sunway to demo all the bro's racquets.....mana tau BLX and GT is quite fun to use but too pricey for me...... so at the end, going back to my kblade team racquet or any second hand microgel radical mp lor as im sure APDGT or BLX will not have any second hand anytime soon:) unless bro yan decided to sell to me his:) or maybe he will trade his for my XCALIBUR:) hahahah if buy from yan confirm his barang2 veri nice and shiny one! (like buy new from shop) unfortunately he dun sell the racket I want Wah nice price from k3vin for microgel Radical!!! |

I am using Wilson K6.1 tour at the moment heavily leaded up with lead tape at 3 and 9 and a with some lead at 12,also have silicone in the handle, I play with a poly at 45lbs, I have no problems with 'control'. This set up works for me, it may work for you, but there is no guarantee x-p
If you have sound technique on your strokes, use a 'classic' grip hahaha i use almost a eastern forehand and a eastern backhand, yhaa I am pretty old school, but I think if you have a semi western forehand , you should be ok. It will take some adjusting of course, may be 1-3 hitting sessions, hopefully you will be able to dial in, its very nice for ground stokes and serves, slices are very decent, return of serves esp with short backswing or blocking , my personal favorite, however volleys are very mediocre ..... I'd recommend stringing full poly at 40-45lbs, you may find out poly at lower tension the playability last way longer than the same poly at 55 lbs. When you do 'experiment' I'd love to hear your views, or anyone else's that will try this experiment, however I ONLY recommend this set up with people with advance level strokes, a solid 4 and above.(no bias towards lower level players, feel free to experiment) Have FUN!!! |

QUOTE(Yan @ Jun 12 2010, 10:58 AM) actually i'm also a bit confused... i thot lower tension e.g. 30lbs.. 35lbs.. shud let u hit easier and with more power ? and higher wud b lesser power more control right ? but like you i feel that lower tension takes more effort and bola hard to jalan .. i just strung my youtek @ 30lbs... wah feels like using so much effort to make the ball go fast into the other court esp for winners.. can somebody pls enlighten me...hehe Sorry yan to shoot you reason is you are not yet reach advance level yet, stroke wise, we should use whole body ie kinetic chain from leg's, core muscles, torso and then arm....., I suspect you are just using arm only, slowly but surely you will improve, I'll bet on it, just relax and try stepping in to the path of the ball. Take Care, and have Fun! |
