Yhhaa i know yan takes extremely good care of his rackets, if you think you can convince him to sell one of his extra APDGT , by all means go ahead, one never knows, he jolly well could be in the market to sell.

hopefully yan has his eye on new weapon of mass destruction..... :-p

It doesn'tt matter who they send, their best formation, their 2nd best, oru job is to give OUR best, win or lose, we know we played our best to our capability, should be very satisfied.

Pooh88: ya, so we have to face them till we win, keep trying!!! Unstoppable !!!

No matter how long u play u won't beat them, unless u correct you strokes .
U ask Prae see i say gam or not  whistling.gif
1st u must able to accept ppl bamboo, then baru can improve  nod.gif
*
For sure if they play for 2-3 years, sure can improve, just need some guidance, but must rajin

QUOTE(pooh88 @ May 19 2010, 11:55 PM)

Bwwhahaha klboy support pooh first leh, make sure you spend this big panda big makan!!!
QUOTE(vobs @ May 20 2010, 12:52 AM)
True also la according to the statement above, if u start with improper stroke, ur play level will stuck there forever, unless u get someone to correct it before it turn into habit.

but then again, if play for fun and dont mind losing then anyone is free to play however they like:) just my two cent:)

heres another suggestion, why not all LYN member organise an internal friendly singles play to determine who is 1st single, 2nd single or 3rd single.....then when there are friendly matches, those people will represent:) just my two cent suggestion la hehehe no need folo also nvm....

Added on May 20, 2010, 1:02 am

bro pooh, why not u represent LYN and play with the pj guys:)

ckseong is good, he must represent heheh

how bout prae? if good, represent la n help to get back LYN's pride and passion by not losing kau kau hehehe

Don let him humble words fool u,tis guy is diff levels with u guys here.
I played with PJ Club numbers of time before this,so i know the players level of game i say they won't give u free point & unless must earn it!!
If u guys r free, this coming June PJ club organize the Inter-teams tournament u can go there watch all those ex-national players play there. nod.gif

To be honest I am all for trying/experimenting with trying to emulate/copy 'Pro's on the ATP/WTA' or your local idol player. I am not a huge fan of Nadal's strokes as I have a more classic way of playing,(no close to Fed style, more on Edberg hehehe) however his 'results' on the forehand have grown on me, though I cannot hit a forehand with a full western grip, I can use my continental/very slight semi western forehand and hit a real whooper of a 'whipped' forehand high net clearance and high/forward kick. Unfortunately I can't sustain this type of hitting for a whole set, as it is very taxing on the forearm. I dunno if anyone here has heard of Mats Wilander, his forehand at the time was considered very loopy and had tons of spin, BUT his forehand was the typical moon-baller type. Nadal's or my version of it is not moonballer type, I can hit as hard as I want and the ball if 'cut' right flys................and lands smack on the baseline, only those with good anticipation can return these type of balls esp those that know how to take balls on the rise. Its true single backhand players have a nightmare with these balls, their only offense is a slice/chip. Unfortunately I am right handed so I can't get the angle that moves right hander's out to the doubles or past the doubles alley.

Basically what you can learn from all the pro's are the SIMPLE things. Early preparation, good shoulder turn, if possible step towards the ball, nice contact point in front of you, transfer of weight, low to high action (topspin) and you will notice, these are the things that make you a better player!!!

Have fun peeps!

Babolat is a "french' brand, but unfortunately manufactured in China, like most rackets these days, if you switch to Yonex, (made in Japan) and for sure better quality.

When you go for coaching don't expect a miracle, on your first lesson.
Some people would assume their game would improve ten-fold just because they are PAYING for that one lesson, it does NOT work that way. You, the student has to apply what was taught and during your own free time, practice what you were taught, if you only practice during coaching, your progress will be slower....

Just curious how much are coaching rates in KL? Does it differ from state to state, ie Penang RM60, KL itself RM70 , this is an example.

Or does it vary on the creditability of the coach say I am a certified USTA coach and has a Level 2 ITF coaching certificate, am I allowed to charge more than a coach who has a USTA cert? what are your opinions? How about a coach that has no valid certificate but has good coaching abilities, I know some coaches that have certificate but don't have people skills.....your opinions are appreciated, thanks!

Gonna be receiving a Microgel Prestige Pro, will try and see how that plays first, heard that the head grip shape is a bit different, for me this may be a deal breaker but shall see how it goes.

Hopefully can play with it. what were your conclusions abt your liquidmetal prestige, pinky?

Looks like Maria Sharapova may leave Prince for Heaad........dunno how the hell she is gonna do that, as she has a 25USD million contract with Prince....but with her injuries, shoulder/arm,etc it looks like she has to switch to another stick....

Well its good to get public opinion and see the criticism and praise. Thanks to all that posted. To everyone else, feel free to chime it, I'd to hear your opinions as well.

Just wanna say the Barricade VI looks sweeet , the pic does not belong to me, all credit goes to surfsb on talk-tennis warehouse, judging from his review, excerpts are below:
Things I noticed:
- It does feel lighter, has more flex in the upper and breathes better.
- The outsole feels the same in terms of height but the upper material rides a little lower around your ankle.
- Toe box feels a little narrower than the 5s
- The outsole above the heel is noticeably more "spongey", a little softer on the heel.

I think its significantly better than previous Barricade models. I'm super stoked about them. It feels like adidas listened to certain things people wanted tweaked.

Wonder if anyone knows how much they will retail for in Malaysia or Singapore?
