Was thinking of going for Lifestyle thingy.. so want speaker 5.1 set those that are small (sattelite) maybe that pass the WAF that mean should still look nice..
But prefer not to compromise too much on SQ..
Willing to spend 5k and above.. if got cheaper one.. better lah.. can look at AVR also... itchy hand.. need upgrade antidode...
Mostly movie purposes.. a bit of music..
Hope to get some suggestion and source ie where to buy... also review by owner if use before...

Yeah.. if yes.. which branch can look see look see the elac? Price range? can fit my 5k budget?
Also curious, where can see the Gallos & Orbs in Malaysia or need to get direct from US? Prefer getting locally as lazy to ship in..
Been considering the Egg as Perfect HiFi is around after Tong Lee... but the 3005 above 5k new...
Energy one also, who carry in Malaysia? hope can fit within budget..
HTKaki, yeap.. also thinking about his Klipsch sattelite.. thinking black colour..

I know bookshelf sound better and if possible I would have even consider a floor-stander.. but alas now its satellite as WAF is compulsory first...
I am going for a 5.1 if possible all 4 speaker are the same so can later transfer to surround on a 7.1 system.. must one day go silently and sneak in another set of front once this initial set-up done...
Not easy as currently with YSP also complain how come the bar so long lah.. so big lah.. ugly looking log.. blah blah..

Never auditioned the other brands mentioned above, except for the KEFs. I concur with the others that the KEFs are pretty good for their size. But not their FiveTwo

I saw it 2 months back. If not mistaken it is 2005 model. Not sure it is demo unit or new.

KEF is now being distributed by Perfect Hi-Fi.

Quintet in piano finish :

http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/klip...intet-overview/

Add RPW-10 for LFE task :

http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/rpw-10-overview/

Plonk in Denon AVR-1910.

It would be slightly above your budget.

Bro, the Orbs only have 1 model lar...that's the Mod1 (single unit), 1 unit become Mod2 and so on tongue.gif
You would be surprise how loud it can play for it's small size and using as a surround is very good, only complaint is that it cant go too low so my LFE xover have to cut off at 100-120Hz (recommended is 120Hz but I set mine at 100Hz) tongue.gif

I'm looking at on wall/in wall speaker for WAF. Currently using YSP-4000 but due to the big opening on my right hand, I can't get good imaging at right hand side. I'm currently looking at Marantz NR1501 slimline + Axiom On Wall/In Wall M22 + VP 100. Surround most likely going to be QS8. You can consider onwall speaker for better performance.

I got similar issue... Now I do not have a wall at the back to bounce back rear. Me clever+clever go and re-arrange the living room and now sound quality got compromised. The HM says the living-room arrangement stay-put and I need to think of a solution that have WAF.
I am thinking of something that can be moved around therefore in-wall is out. This is in-case, me got the clever+clever thingy and re-arrange again.. Therefore looking at wall-mounted, placeable satellite that can be moved easily to another location without much ado.. Also prefer satellite that can play below 100Hz. Now wiring is acceptable a bit as some wire no issue.. only speaker must look nice and sleek.. as HM demand it. No boxey shape as so "old-fashion" she say... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
