Luckily you post a reply saying you sent me a PM, or else I may have missed it. Replied you PM.

The Poliwog C98P is lovely, I loved the looks, the knife is very solid, though the Stainless Steel handle makes it heavy, but it is very stubby. It is also discontinued, so it worth to bid. I bought a China knockoff to get the holster for the Poliwog  drool.gif  (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18078)

All the best!

It's getting a bit expensive now ($125 minus shipping) than what you've PM me earlier. I was trying to look for that China brand from DX before but unable to find it. Thanks for the link & it's damn cheap.

Yeah James, but I am not big fan yet, just like the poliwog so much, I don't really like others though. tongue.gif

Btw, LightJunk, did you win, it just ended. All the best. flex.gif

Yup, I won the bidding and it was quite high compared to yours. I also got myself the replica knife from DX at $5.85.

I've been collecting small folding spydercos after kena poison by hotrat1 & susuman. Slowed down on lights at the moment.

Got new hobby now. Photography. That's why lights and knives are kinda stagnant.

Here are my spydercos collection except the one in black. All small knives. Nothing major.

Striderman,

I think that's enough for now. Full size folder will need full size wallet sweat.gif rclxub.gif I like all especially the Poliwog. All passed through customs without a hitch.
Thanks to your advise. Not to forget hotrat1 and susuman.

Hey, I saw a few Katanas here. I asked the shop and said they were replicas. They were really sharp though. Replicas costing RM1600 - RM2600. Imagine the real stuff.

QUOTE(taingonghai @ Sep 30 2010, 05:33 PM)
Hi guys and all flashlight sifus, I need a recommendation for a flashlight. My requirements are a either a 2xCR123 or single 18650 cell light.

My main requirement is throw, throw, throw! It's for use in my boating hobby.

I've been researching on a Tiablo A9, but have found out that the new R5 pills are inferior to the older q5s in terms of outright throw. The Deree DBS with the R2 is still available locally by gadgethighway, but the the price of the light with the aspherical head is out of my price range. And lastly the luma power D-mini VX with the teleforce head, but again, it's unavailable to purchase with the r2 pills anymore. It's all the R5s and they're no longer good throwers.
So guys, if you can point me in the right direction for a good throwing light for my requirements. Oh btw, I very much prefer to purchase only with local stores and would prefer lights that are factory options, not modded ones. My budget is around 350 for the light and maybe an additional 100 for a throwing head for models with such options.

Thank you.

Check out my Sig. I got a Surefire E2DL for sale if you want RM450 shipped to you PosLaju.

Well, rest assure this light does throw and it does meet your requirement but it comes with a price though. The version I am selling is the latest one rated at 200 lumens with TIR optics.

Beamshots here at post #3.

If you want throw, then search for an R2 LED light. I got one a Nitecore Extreme R2 which have been with me for a few years now. It sure throws. Search Gadgetworld2u for R2. There are a few there and cheap too (within your budget).

You may also need to read about what you want at CandlePowerForums or even at our local forum thebrightside.

Prepare to spend $$$ if you want throw of 180 - 225 metres. An HID light will do - Polarion, Helios, Microfire?

Even my Mag Triple SST-90 doesn't throw that far. For wide area illumination maybe.
