I'm finally back gaming after a 5-year hiatus. Installed Steam a few days ago and re-downloaded all my old games. Looks like I missed a few sweet deals. May I ask, does Steam notify you of all new deals? Exactly where do you go to to see all the current deals?

OK, so all special deals will be listed under the 'specials' tab. Nothing of note right now. Damn, I missed that codemasters deal.

Hmm, I'm very tempted to get the Orange Box, but I already have HL2 and Portal. All you seasoned Steam users, do you think the price will drop again when TF2 for Mac is released? Or should I just get it now?

Oh and till when will the discount for The Orange Box last?

Took a look at your TF2 stats, how does one achieve 120 kills in one round? That's just not.... possible! Isn't there a 32 player limit on all maps?

Metro 2033 is a good game. Gameplay-wise it doesn't break any new ground (except the concept of using better quality ammo as currency) but it is very atmospheric and has stunning visuals.

You mean the reason it got lower ratings is because... it's a third person/RPG hybrid?

Mass Effect 2 has stellar reviews though. Can I play that without having played the first?

The game is fun and is most definitely worth paying $7 for, if there are many local servers. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of Singaporean servers and the most popular of which is running a Deathmatch mod (although currently all mods are disabled because of the update). I remember before I stopped playing around 3 years ago, refreshing my server list would yield a total of more than 20,000 servers. I tried refreshing today and I only see 3,000.

I tried Deimos' server just now. But no one was playing.

I had problems logging in yesterday and this morning too. I already tried deleting clientregistry.blob, the client will then attempt to re-update itself, but after 30 minutes it was just stuck at 4% updated. So I just restored my clientregistry.blob, and just kept trying to login. Weird thing is, my Steam usually logs in without needing me to input my password, but this time it prompted me for my password. Me thinks the Steam servers are just being fishy. Just keep trying to login.

Anyway, if the server is set to "no block", and if two enemy players collide, would they look clipped to me? And lol how will the damage be dealt to them?

I think the updates screwed up something. I had massive lag spikes earlier (not in your server), so did many others.

TF2 is more fun-oriented than CSS. If you're looking for bite-sized fun, games like World of Goo and Plants vs. Zombies are friggin' awesome.
