some games like dirt 2 need gfwl, and if ur region not under it which is like 19 out of the 100+ countries in the world, say bb to your $$and its quite annoying to login to steam and gfwl again....
other than that its ok for me i guess, just the region lock thingy

i copy the files from your folder under steamapps>common/<insert id for source games>then copy the <insert game name>.gcf file understeamapps also
then paste at the same place
