Got a very nagging question stucked in my head for a very long time and I must get this off my chest:

Are players still active in COD4 in this part of the region(MY & SG)? Or have the number of players drop tremendously that they have gone to play some other games like MW2 and BF:BC2? Or have they all turned sissy and start to play with the Wii (joking, joking )?

Though on Xfire shows that COD4 clocks in the 2nd highest amount of time after WoW? I'm quite skeptical as I believe that most of this hours are clocked in by hardcore COD4 gamers that plays for competition and tournaments.

sigh... I was hoping to get some COD4 action for something else different than BF:BC2.

still a lot of ppl playing cod4 dude. =.= u go check narakka, always full. lol. i used to play mw2 n its boring game. i still prefer play cod4 more than mw2. sometimes i play bfbc2 if my frens playing. hehe. bfbc2 its boring when u play alone especially when ur teammates all noooobs. =.=

my xfire friends list show ppl play cod4 more than bfbc2. mw2 its dead in my xfire friends list. haha.

cod4 community still alive over here. just no action a bit cause no tourney for now.

Could you show how many servers are still active in SEA and Australia?

Im seriously considering getting MW1,as MW2 is so much fail. The customisation is definitely better,but the matchmaking is annoying as hell. One minute,cant migrate host. Then,cant connect. And it uses so much bandwidth for a bloody game.

BFBC2 is definitely a better alternative,but my com cant take it. Hope Steam will do a free weekend for BFBC2 too so that i get to try too. Maybe it has hope in Squad Rush.

CoD4 community definitely still alive. Just now is the cooldown period, as soon very big tournament is coming soon.

Now organizers is focusing on taking newcomers by organizing amateur tournament, it's in other thread, so make sure you check it out

It cant be just 2 servers in the whole SEA.

Does it matter if i get my copy from Steam or Retail? Any difference in the files that I need to know? After all you guys are mostly playing in promod right?

Im not just looking at Promod,as it looks like they are trying to turn CoD4 back to CS1.6.It's good that they got rid of noobtube.

I want to play CoD,not CS.

There are a few more servers but most of it are private servers. Your best bet is either naraka, serverpark or espgl promod tdm.

Check espgl.com's list of servers.
