So, it goes like this?
-Cancel streamyx
-Wait few weeks
-Apply streamyx unipack freshly...
Like tat?
Can i just like apply that unipack first, when they come, then only i cancel the existing streamyx which is under my bro`s name? hhaha!

QUOTE(steventan85 @ Apr 23 2010, 05:05 PM)
i applied for NEW homeline and i only have 1 telephone line to my house ... i havent terminate my current 1 , but thx to the tm contractor , he straight cabut my current phone port and plug in the new 1 which is Unipack 1....so that i no need to re-wiring a new phone line or terminate my current phone earlier smile.gif
*
But if apply for new homeline, wouldn't it mean that i am getting another new number?

I am retaining my existing homeline number..
The 30days cool down period isnt necessary, as what i heard at here...

Oo... Like that u still can terminate the old streamyx account?? I also got a phone line ready there... Might ask the contractor to do so. Hehehe

Added on April 23, 2010, 5:17 pmOh ya... My agent told me can add rm10 for unlimited fixed calls. Anyone can clarify this? Want to add for my mum then she can call me unlimited with lesser radiation too... Compare to celcom 1+5 using handphone. haha
*
cancan, rm10 additional = unlimited free calls to homelines...
handphone charges 30c/min..

you need to wait 30days
*
Erm yeap, but it can be submitted together...
The maximum cool down period is 30days...
Most of the staffs will say 30days, just to protect themselves... (if you guys know that i mean)
My friend successfully got it within 1 week (cancel his sister`s streamyx, and get another new streamyx under his name)... Pandan Indah TM Point to be exact...
For those who really eager for the netbook, dont expect its a fast one...

QUOTE(jepertine90 @ Apr 26 2010, 04:48 PM)
according to the tm staff told me today, cancellation need 7 days, activation need 7 days, net book need 14 days after the activation... LOL but it depends, mayb will be faster...
*
Yea finger crossed yo!

TM need it... It is one of the required documents...
To obtain the offer letter, request the letter from your university... and usually, it takes 3 working days to get it... suggest you to move fast...

I sent in together the termination letter and unipack application form at the same time on Tuesday...
Till now, my current streamyx is yet to be terminated...
I wonder how long it takes...
The longer it takes to terminate, the longer i have to wait for the unipack form to process right?

Hi, just wanna ask you another thing. I've been reading around that we have to personally bring the application form to our college to get a stamp of approval.
Did you have to do that?
If yes, which department in the college did you get the stamp from? also, what other documents did you have to provide?
The first streamyx rep just took a copy of my student ID card and offer letter.

thanks smile.gif

Student Affair that is...

photostat IC (yours one)
photostat ID card (yours one)
photostat IC (homeline owner ones, if the homeline isnt listed under your name)

QUOTE(peiching1990 @ May 1 2010, 03:56 PM)
why does the first bill include RM 10 stamp duty? I thought we'd pay the RM 10 when we submit the application form in TM Point....
So, it should be excluded. The TM website also didn't state the RM 10 stamp duty. There written fisrt month fee is half, so if u subscribe RM 68, ur first month fee is only RM 34.
*
According to the lady working at the application counter,
She said the RM10 stamp duty is for new TM homeline application..
So, if you are not applying a new homeline, RM10 stamp duty is not necessary...

And yeah, first month fee is half priced icon_idea.gif

hi,

im a KDU PJ damansara campus student and was thinking of applying the cool uni pack. are we eligible because i dont see kdu in the list?

what are the requirements anyway? wat do documents do i need to produce? i see some need school chop or something?

i'm already having a homeline and streamyx at home. is it under my aunt's name. is it more advisable to register a new homeline and streamyx?
then wat is the amount i pay each month? for me, its not necessary for my home to have 2 homelines but if want apply this... wat to do

how's the netbook performance anyway? hav u already got it? if i take the cheapest package, net surfing speed is it ok?

hope u can answer my questions

thanks so much in advance!
*
Not eligible....

I guess a lot of "loopholes" lah...
As i read through the thread, students who are not inside the list, tried their luck and managed to get it..
You can try no harm... though KDU isnt on the list.. wink.gif
