You mean from the current manual switch, I should have 4 cables?

Hi Peow Yong,
I have done my switch timer and it is working fine now. You need neutral to get the device to work because without the neutral the clock wouldn't work. Here is the wiring 1 - Neutral 2 - Live 3 - <Nothing> 4 - Live 5 - Wire to light FYI, in the current switch, there must have 2 wires (In & Out). In is the live & Out is the wire to light. To test which one is live, please use a test pen. QUOTE(PeowYong @ Jul 2 2010, 11:58 AM) This post has been edited by leety: Jul 14 2010, 02:01 PM |

QUOTE(lawrencesha @ Feb 12 2011, 03:48 PM) Does this mean if I have a light switch, with only 2 wire (live + wire to light) and no neutral (typical of all light switches!!), it will not work? All the wires are usially concealed in the wall... how to get a neutral line? No, you can't as the clock in the timer would operate without the neutral. |
