is a matter of cost....just like the history DVD and VCD or CD....PS3 uses bluray is because they have no other choices but to support what they have implented joinly with other companies. moreover the bluray won over HD DVD. I'm very sure that most of the ps3 blu ray games do not even use more that 8gb but they have no choices but to print it in a bluray...anyway who cares....we pay the same price and get a better disc....1 thing is that blu ray is difficult to be scratch unlike dvds.....
