The only ps3 game i noticed LOADING slower than Xbox360 is FIFA10.
when save,scheduling,etc.
i play both on xbox360 and ps3.. and notice the difference quite big.

there are nothing to versus about.

is a matter of cost....just like the history DVD and VCD or CD....PS3 uses bluray is because they have no other choices but to support what they have implented joinly with other companies. moreover the bluray won over HD DVD. I'm very sure that most of the ps3 blu ray games do not even use more that 8gb but they have no choices but to print it in a bluray...anyway who cares....we pay the same price and get a better disc....1 thing is that blu ray is difficult to be scratch unlike dvds.....

Dude, PC also require a media to install it, but when we can use Blu-Ray to install game in pc... why we still need 2 DVD, 3 DVD to install a big game.

Most multiplat games (especially the earlier ones) rarely exceed the 5GB mark even.

To equal loading times with the 360, the game can either utilize a mandatory install, a disc with duplicate data lying around or use the buffer.

From what I've seen, devs usually go the way of mandatory installs or just slower load speeds (although this is mainly observation based on the games with slower speeds)

maybe that's why recently xbox has update to make any flash thumbdrive
can be used as storage device(max 16gb) so the arcade user can play game if there any games in the future needs mandatory install.

if we ignore the loading speed of bd and dvd (becos both of them got advantage and disadvantage, so it kinda balance) i think bd is a better media for new generation of gaming (better graphic quality, sound, gameplay). this is becos disc swapping can become pretty annoying.

but paying normal price for a bd that didnt fully utilized (space) kinda makes us feel a little bit loss right?. smile.gif
