There are a couple of places you can try to inquire pertaining to the mushroom cultivation courses.  But I personally feel the best place would still be in UPM (You should have read my earlier post.). Some grower do give courses. Just google for 'Mushroom cultivation courses in Malaysia'.

I have read lots of information over the net, joint forum years before I attended the course because I know you need to have some practical knowledge to understand better as well as confirming what you read is the right way.

PM me if you need any information and I'll try my best to answer. I'm no expert by the way but we all learn better through discussion. 8 )
In a way EDYEK is right on this b'cos you don't get the 'feel' to understand the important of certain process & procedure that could contaminate your work. Its quite difficult to not over emphasize this. 8 )

Just for info:
For those who interested to start mushroom cultivation can get help from government as they provide free workshop, from seedling until harvesting.
You may also join mushroom association malaysia, all the big players are members. They're willing to share, and if you interested, can start as their contract farmer as well.

Yes, this is the requirement for all the registered association in Malaysia I think. Just talk to them, they will fill it up for you.
