Oh forgotten to tell, she can't take medicine that has Paracetamol or Aspirin.
She can only take this medicine called Tramadol which doesn't work these days. She takes her medication of Primrose oil everyday. Added on April 6, 2010, 11:55 pmNvm, i found a thread on it. Can someone teach me how to close or lock or delete this thread? Thanks This post has been edited by guitar8888: Apr 6 2010, 11:55 PM |

For one or two days a month, my ex coursemate used to lie down on bed, cannot attend lecture or anything because very painful. Taking ginger drink helps. Chinese medicine to balance the elements also ok.
Also have to avoid some food: http://healthblog.yinteing.com/2008/07/16/...to-relieve-pms/ |

i dunno if this work for your gf but after i take fish oil tablets daily, i dun have menstrual pain anymore.
the reason i started to take fish oil was not for the menstrual pain. anyway, it is good to have that "side-effect". haha |

taking panadol or any form or pain killer doesnt help in a long run. sooner or later ur body is going to get immune to it....
natural remedy is always the best choice. |

EPO doesn't work for me.
Only panadol menstrual works - but have to eat 2. Not at the same time but if i still feel uneasy after 1 hour, i'll pop another one. Aih, I'm not into chinese herbs as it's some sort of 'natural steroid'. It's too strong and i don't want my body to depend on it. |

QUOTE(guitar8888 @ Apr 6 2010, 11:46 PM) For the ladies/men out there who knows the tricks, please feel free to spill! My girlfriend has been experiencing excruciating pain all this while. I think first of all, try to rule out endometriosis and fibroids. They are VERY common and cause a lot of pain, especially endometriosis. Then try supplements like EPO. Lastly painkiller, if she is allergic to Panadols and Aspirin, there's not much more she can try, just make sure she is really allergic to both medicine. Another one that might help is Buscopan, it acts like muscle relaxant, and can really really reduce abdominal cramps and menstrual pain.I really want to help her Thanks! She may try oral contraceptive pills which may reduce pain. By the way, after the first baby, the pain will pain no more! |

this is not related to menstrual pain but erm my uncle got his stomach removed, bcoz the ulser is too big. the doctor suspect it is due to excessive panadol he was taking. he was like whenever he have something uncomfortable, he will pop 2 panadol. so i try to avoid eating panadol if i still can tahan.

Panadols will not cause stomach ulcer, but too many eg more than 8 will cause liver damage. It's the other pain killers, eg Ponstan, Voltaren that will cause stomach ulcer. Other medicine include steriod used in traditional medicine. |
