Let me try and put this in perspective. Lagging in a device is relative. It all depends on what you load in your gadget and then what you run at any one time.

i3GS is obviously faster than i3G which means it is better, hence the higher price. Your decision as I have said so many times in our forum here depends on what you need the iPhone for and whether your pocket is deep enough. So, ultimately, it is your call as to which you choose to buy.

No, not really. IMHO, it is because OS4 has already being announced and we all already know how the iPhoneHD (4G) looks like. So, the thrill has dissipated somewhat.

Allow me to add and may I say, impartially, that whenever Apple does something which has already been done, they would it with improved functionality and hence the reason the for belated, much, may I add, launch.

Maxis, for that matter, Digi would want to get their hands on the iPhone4 asap to cater to the thirst of the market. And whether they still have a whole inventory of 3GS(not 3G, which I believe is almost depleted), does not feature at all. Like usual they would be sold off at reduced prices, either through cheaper packages or lower priced outright units.

Not only does he not understand it, I don't think he even knows how the sales of the units by our telcos are, going by his comments. I am only stating this so others do not get confused by such statements by the likes of him.

You are going to spend a whole load of money on this, so I suggest you read up on it thoroughly.

I will agree with you that those who want to get their hands on one earlier or faster than anyone else should wait. But if the advantage from getting from a country with unlocked sets is a saving, then it may be a viable proposition. Take for example if you get from UK a 16gb which costs about RM2400 and with the 17.5% VAT, the nett price would be a shade below RM2000. If the pricing in Malaysia for the iPhone4 is similar to the 3GS', then there is a saving of about RM500. Wouldn't that be a good enough reason to get from there?

But of course, one should also take into cognizance the warranty but that is the trade off.

I am not too sure myself but I think you can use facetime except that you cannot see each other when conversing since i3GS does not have a front camera but the back camera can be in use.
