QUOTE(sakuradesune @ Sep 6 2010, 04:53 PM) "To be honest, invitations for bands which will perform in the event are done internally and it is not open for application. However, you could still send me you website link(s) e.g. myspace, FB, etc. and any videos of your current band so we could evaluate and might consider to add in slots for you =D" Arigatou Sakura-san... Just pass over the front page of this thread to them! |

U need to setup the lame (mp3) codec before u can export in MP3
More softwares for u, more freeware http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/page11.html DL the dBPowerAmp software. After producing the .wav file in Audacity, use this software to convert to mp3. Do note that, as far as I know, virtualdub only accepts .wave files |

Can ask Dark Steno if he's free this weekend (I'm going to Perak). He can already sing Meguriai. As for Yokan and After Dark, he'll need to memorize them. His range is higher than mine.

1. 'IZ Studio'. Good: Amp = good. Room acoustics are actually quite ok. Bad = Cymbals and Hi hat doesn't make a sound. Can't record. Far from Cheras folks.
2. 'Pertama'. Good: Reasonable drums. Closer to people with no car. Mid price. Bad:Traffic to go there. 3. 'Prosound' Good: Best acoustics of all studios I've been too including Akar. Skilled recordings. Bad:Tsundere owner. RM10 more than Pertama. 4. 'AkarKarya' Good: Best drumset and cymbals despite the Zildjian K Custom crash is broken! Bad:Bloody expensive. |

Hmmmm.... sorry for the long silence... was away from country for a while...
I listened to both the samples and the CD and I think it just needs a bit more sound touch up rather than replaying parts of it... Lets see if I can post the results one by one... give me some time... |

3 people could fit in ultiman's room. No drums I guess, but can still use beat machine.
Suggest we use Double M-Audio setup. Equipment: a) Keyboard b) M-Audio ADC c) each of the above has a line in for guitar & bass or guitar & guitar d) Bring our own mics just in case e) Steno's amp f) My PC speaker set as backup We have some drumbeats from Chiaki's recording - Meguriai, Yokan, Pure Pure Heart, Shine days (but I won't recommend After Dark's - it's too off tempo). Open to song list, but needs most to be acoustic. Also I don't think we need to go jamming studio to practice for this. My room is empty now without the drum. Ok ok, TL;DR, we still can't disappear (Angel Beats).
Everyone's right. Now where are the suggestions? Here are mine: 1. Criteria for singer a) Needs to be able to wow the crowd with his/her voice alone b) Needs a bit of ego to CRITICIZE the band if it's not playing to his/her standard For female singer, Ms Wei's ok. For male singer, I think we need to swap roles. - Steno, can ye sharpen yer skills to play rhythm guitar? - Brian, play bass or if JH can play, then let him play - I'll grab vocals until we find someone better 2. We have no problem playing music. But we can't perform without the 50% key, which is vocals. He/She dictates the show. He/she COMMANDS attention. No shy shy cat. |

QUOTE(Zaban @ Jan 24 2011, 10:52 PM) Speaking of which, do you guys know there's another upcoming Cosplay & Jpop event coming this 19 February?. Someone already post the ads in forum here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1726591 (http://jclub-no-sekai.blogspot.com/)<- orginal advertisement... I already made a proposal whether they give opportunity for band members to do performance in the event. Their response was positive but they need to ask the Sunway Giza Management supports in terms of equipments, ect before proceeding to make the decision. This is the response from the organizer: Err... no, we can't even solo well enough, let alone duet....Since then I haven't reply back to the organizer because I need your commitment to do this seriously. If you really want to perform in this event, please post your reply in this thread. We still have a lot of time to prepare our self. Your participation is in your hand, I go with the majority as well as your talent into this. Some preplan to take note: 1. Next jamming session would probably be on this saturday or sunday afternoon. Please do post yer reply in here if you want to go for jamming session..btw I have not book yet. 2. I was thinking to invite Yuki to sing in our band if we're gonna perform in this Jpopcosplay event. Therefore, I really need Eccen help in coaxing her to join us in the performance BOKUWA UTTE KUDASAI! This might be the last hope for an epic performance. 3. Our first opening song in the list would be Ringo Migure Beam! Lastly, need to practice PERFORMING, not just playing music... stuff like this needs a script... transitions need to be planned... performances needs to play music in smooth successions Show me that we could even sing our current songs or simpler songs to wow the crowd. |

Chiaki, we have no singer for that kind of music.
Let's do this. PM or post here who's interested in this Feb 19. Mission is a go if we have 1 guitarist, 1 bass, 1 drum and vocal. Added on January 25, 2011, 10:33 amIf ye say yes, you are committing min 2 practice sessions This post has been edited by Myclamyra: Jan 25 2011, 10:33 AM |
