Thanks for inviting me to perform with you guys. Seems to improved from the last time but sadly still not good enough i think... sorry but i'll comment indiscriminately here.

brian - since myc is not gonna stick any longer, dunno if you change to bassist. But as a rhythm, learn more about body language to express yourself. i recommend you to provide a vocal support(harmony) also for the band, your singing was good. And teach steno to be a singing guitarist if you have the time.

Myc - should i comment?

Steno - still lacking in vibrato and pitch, hopefully your enthusiasm to play music intrument will let you learn more about those especially vibrato. also dont close your eyes while singing and notice any sign from bandmates for anything.

Chiaki - has conquered your anxiety when facing a crowd, good. I suggest you follow singer's lead when playing, do take notice if it's a bit too fast or slow. and pay attention to any sign from your bandmates telling you to slow/fast a bit during playing(check them out regularly, i believe you dont need to see where you are hitting). electronic drumkit is highly recommended.

Noir - Hold your keyboard properly, it can kill a person if misused.

Alice - Sing close to mic.

Overall bad apples member, choosing hard songs to play could take up a lot of jamming session for perfection. especially like shine days. you guys could learn 3-5 easy songs to play if you didn't even learn that.

In the end a band main power is the vocalist, so steno/alice/ms wei need to train harder to improve the band. singer isnt just about singing, it's interaction and body language. so smile and learn to impose the songs' impression. i really recommend steno to sing while playing rhythm since brian might convert to bassist when myc is busy making offsprings. singing+playing guitar require less of body language to the COOL effect of it.

Again, thanks for inviting me. Been a while since I pickup the guitar seriously.

Added on January 24, 2011, 2:41 amAnd one more thing, the more person in a band, the more person you need to trouble. imagine ZC coming for all the practice session but couldnt perform rclxub.gif . not to say many vocalist, many bassist, many drummer but only one of them got to go on stage... sad.gif again... a wasted effort for those who attended the practice. 4 person can make a good band dy, 8-9 person is hard to manage, and i should say it'll waste more time. besides, if you're registering for event and say you got like 10 members, it's a scary story enough for the organizer.

QFT from someone who well experience in stage performance.

Edit:
btw I dun recall my voice singing was good though coz most of my bandmates from other band said that my voice is worst(and I only play bass guitar if the bassist is not available)

You may not have a good voice but you're quite good in pitching.

QUOTE(Dark Steno @ Jan 24 2011, 02:58 PM)
Hmm, there are a lot of stuffs I would like to point out regarding the performance a couple of days ago. Well, certainly it's something we should take note before getting on top of a stage.

First, I think we should never really accepting a last minute request for something that wasn't sure about. The lesson that we learned here is that, we didn't have much time perfecting our performance. A week is totally not enough unless we are so free to have jamming session every single night for that matter. A month before an event performance is plausible with a confirmation that every single band member is capable to commit at least 3-4 sessions at studio for practice. This part might be my fault to think we are ready for something quick like this. Second, the stage area. Last performance was totally a new challenge for us to have a performance in an open area. We were used to have practiced and performances at closed area. This leads to another matter that worth to take note which is sound mixing. It was funny for the mixer to be placed behind the stage instead of in front of the stage (although this was not our fault but we should take note of this). The third matter is also in relation with the second part, the sound system. While it is good to bring our own equipments, I was being told by a member of reporters who is also a performer that we shouldn't do that. For major performance, everyone's instruments should be connected to a single mixer that control everything and our amplifiers/etc to be connected to that mixer. Fourth, while we can tell people that it was organizer request by saying we can play any kind of songs, we do need to understand the situation of the event as well. At the beginning, I have already concerned about we to bring heavy songs to the event that were not really suitable. But since we kinda accepted the word given by the organizer for any song, the idea for opening with Meguriai, Yokan, etc. was given a go... which ended up some of the audiences expressed their uneasiness at the micro-blogging site called Twitter in instant. Of all, why anime songs?

Of course we can give excuses and whatever we can blame on others but I largely blame myself for failing to see the sequences while I can see some of us pretty much eager to have a fresh public performance on the year 2011. In addition to this matter, while the band has already more than a year, we still don't have an exact commanding officer that can give orders to us to follow triumphantly. Heck, even during the day of performance, we still have this doubting thoughts and uneven decision here and there. I am just a mere singer that still have much to improve and learn which I clearly stated that previously that I need a guidance for this matter but ended up nothing until recently (starting with ZC who commented on my singing and also Eccentrical's post above). Also, during the performance, I always have set my mental and mind on what to perform but when somebody jump in to sing along or wanting to sing the song but then undecided (because it's cool to sing while playing instruments) it ruined my mood. Well, if you guys want to sing the song, make the decision as early as possible.

So, for this matter, I am not willing to be the main vocalist until everything is ready. Especially for a performance. Just treat me as a guest singer or something. Or maybe you guys can try singing while playing.

Have a nice day.

I can say I'm having uncertainties for the past days due to miscommunication as well. This is a problem when everyone segan to become a leader.
For the equipment, I could say that it's not even a stage equipment but it's all you guys and i can manage for the time being. At least it's better than bringing an acoustic drum with no proper line out equipment. A proper band should just rent it from like say Yamaha, like my dad he rent a full set of equipment for one day from a studio for rm400 a day but thanks to it we got awesome sounds. but due to time limitation, i think this is useless after all... unless you guys got like 30++ minutes of performance or so.
About song list, i'm already having mixed feelings from the start but maybe I shouldn't comment too much on that since i m only a guest guitarist.
No hard feeling dude, but first i heard your singing for kimi ni todoke from a recording you passed a year ago, it was really good. but from that onwards, the song demand is getting absurd(meguriai, yokan, akfg stuffs, this guys vocalist is already at a pro level) and getting along with the flow is really hard for you. If vocal lesson you say, i'm suggesting noir with lesson on pitching(he got piano, which is a proper intrument to test your pitch). But I need to comment more on vibrato, vibrato is the main core of making something sounds good in music. Guitar, violin, anything of the sort really needs vibrato to sounds nice. Listen to gackt song, he got lotsa vibrato, should be a good practice, but dont imitate his voice, imitate his vibrato only. voice technique is a different story. Singing is a hard job and it sucks when we're being commented about our own voice that we're born with, but it's all about proper practice and diet. maybe i ll read more about vocalist stuffs somewhere and tell where can improvement be made.
