It's just defects.....how much the defect (cloud, scratch...etc) is easier to detect
VS1 better (less defect) than VS2 > S1 > S2

There's this place in Publika which has the best prices. I did alot of research, even manged to get staff pricing from Poh Kong and Wah Chan through my bro's friends. Wah Chan was the cheapest, but this guy, Devnani was soooo much cheaper.

For engagement rings, you really need a good white diamond. Keep that in mind.

I bought a 3-stone ring (1 carat center stone, F color and 2 0.4 side stones) with diamond dust on the side and it cost me RM29k. The centre stone was GIA certified.

Find any design you want, and they will be able to replicate it. This design i designed myself.

Woah... 29k. But the price is ok tho. My fiance told me he was shown a 1 carat solitaire platinum ring (not sure of the diamond quality), price tag was 30k. At Goldheart. They show him for the ring design la, but the price surprised him. haha. sweat.gif So yours with a 1 carat diamond + two 0.4 carat diamonds is considered a really good price.

Thats alot of money, yes. But this is a once in a lifetime thing. Plus, no wedding dinner, so i save on the dinner and now have something tangible that will last. Devnani's price is really good. But he needs some time to find you your perfect diamond.

Hi Guys,

I have a hard time to pick between Tiffany & co or other jewelers..

Quoted By T&C 0.22 E VS1 Rm8000 & 0.29 H VVS2 Rm9000

For the same price i would be able to get bigger diamond out there if it isnt T&C.. but my gf would love if it a T&C, set everything aside and not comparing the size.. T&C design is the best..

dilemma.. any help?

Well I think you should get your gf something she would love since she will be the one wearing it. smile.gif

I can share with you that mine is a GIA Hearts and Arrows E VS1 Excellent cut 0.36 carat in a 18k yellow gold 4 prong setting which cost my fiance RM6.5k from Goldheart. Size of the diamond I find is secondary to the quality of the diamond. Mine is proportionate to my hand size as well, so I'm happy with it. But the main reason I love it is because he chose it for me. wub.gif

Great one.. like that you say you love it because he chose it for you.. I think no matter how big or how small.. end of the day, the main purpose is to make sure the girl is happy..

I would agree to you no more that size would be secondary to the overall beauty of the ring itself..

I have been looking many places to get the best diamond+setting.. maybe I didnt look hard enough but seems like i just couldnt find one overall make my heart feel for it..

Now i have better idea.. ^^

The Tiffany setting is really beautiful. We buy from them a lot so let me know if you want my personal shopper's details in the US. She can send you some prices as well. But USD is very strong now, maybe not that worth it importing.

Try out Devnani's in Publika, the place i got my wife's ring from. Any design you want, he will be able to make.
Find a design online and then give it to him, he will do it based on your budget. 10k can get you a pretty decent rock. He will also spend a long time educating you on diamonds.

Out of the 4 Cs, the ones you should really care for are Cut, Carat and Color. A good cut gives out that nice shine, a good colour determines if hte diamond is whitish or yellowish and the carat is of course, the size.

Can you provide more detail about this. Thx

Just been to Diamond platinum Sg Wang to scout. Not really pro for the sales lady just call me look even I insist for recommendation i give of my rough budget 10k - 20k (haven't fine tune it as I have zero knowledge of diamond ring) Forevermark and Estella or something, at 15% discount for all year long (is this rate the lowest or I still can nego for more?) What if I pay by cash can I get more discount? Is GIA grading is better than forevermark in house grading? Coz when I mention GIA grading she keep her mouth shut and just mention Forevermark is a international brand from London.

Will be heading out to Midvalley soon as there have more jewelry outlet. Shall report more on my 3 month jewelry hunting for my beloved.
