i really feel that the hdmi cable makers r ripping us off for as long as they can...
juz look at a simple analogy: DVI interface which produces no less quality than HDMI interface minus the audio capability & look at the price diff of the two...if we don't call this rip off, then what?

monster hdmi cable got the same performance with a $10 hdmi cable is so true

And yet there are still those that shell out the money for Monster cables.

it's subjective, for rich ppl with few tens or hundreds K of HT setup, the amount is negligible for them, satisfaction is priceless
for me at the layman class, even it is proven to have marginal improvement, the cost is still not justifying my low-end setup

if the performance doesn't outweigh the cost, i don't see the reason why people should spend that much amount of money to get so called "high performance" stuff..
