almostthere : Your one ct-d43 ? I tought bt-d43.

jsnkok : maybe u can try what almostthere suggested. Try to lower the clock and start with a 2.5-3-3-x settings. For the x, 10 do give me the best bandwidth compared to 8 or 11.

bt-d43 @ 208Mhz @ 3-3-3-8

how much is the lowest timings i can put on the bt-d43's? wanna test if my cpu can go higher at looser timings.
*
You can try 3-4-4-x and see how high your d43 can fly.

Nice for a start. Where did u bought it ? Tight timings i should say and its normal for a DT's series of D43.

Infineon and Hynix are 2 different manufacturer and they are not producing the same stuff also. Which one is yours ?

Nice, 3.1v is abit high for the Hynix but who cares as long as extra voltage gives tighter timings. brows.gif

QUOTE(fattywai @ Jul 21 2006, 10:02 PM)
y we need to OC ram?

is it will bring affects for our OC process?

anyone can tell me ?

using 2*256mb good or 2*512mb in Hynix chip on dual channel?

can someone give me the opinion?

BTW, who interested to sld out thier Hynix pls let me know.

tq.

Prefer COD.

We oc ram to have a higher clock that gives us extra processing power and smoothness in a general view. About 2*256mb and 2*512mb it depends, having big memory is always a plus provided you're utilising it. Take note about how you plan to use it, oc it and cool it. I might be selling my pair of Bt-D43 hynix but not so soon, will post here if i wanted to do so.

Well its like driving a car cruising at 120km/h with different rpms. Which one gives u more power ?

A) 120km/h @ 4000 rpm

B) 120km/h @ 6000 rpm

When u oc the rams, the proc speed will increase too giving extra processing power. Smoother while handling loads of data at 1 time using big capacity and higher speeds.

OOT : Erk, then we use our leg. Overclock your leg. brows.gif

Btw anybody have D43's that can go beyond 260mhz other than gengstapo and me ? unsure.gif unsure.gif

Seems like your screeny is almost like mine except that i use CL3 for my rams as it max out with CL2.5 at 250mhz. Now my new mobo which is ABIT KN8 Ultra seems cannot use any vdimm >2.8v maybe becoz of the psu. My hynix loves 3.0v .

Not suited ? Well ive seen few people with DFI mobo that can go until 280mhz.
And i dont think its because of the mobo itself, maybe the settings ?

QUOTE(raymond5105 @ Sep 13 2006, 01:00 PM)
@ uzairi, the Hynix BT-D43 can goes up to 267MHz @ 3.1V .Does this voltage harmful to the RAM ?I saw the post at page 59 there. Please give me some comment about that. notworthy.gif
*
Quite high i think, maybe u need to put a low cfm blowing towards the rams in order to cool the ram and longer the lifespan a bit.

QUOTE(shinjite @ Sep 15 2006, 07:45 PM)
3.1V is okay because max you can give your RAM is 3.3V (additional cooling is recommended)

Above that, use it only for BH-5/UTT
*
Anything above 3.0v would be dangerous for the rams if you're running it 24/7 or heavy gaming.

QUOTE(Asus @ Oct 16 2006, 09:49 PM)
hey guys whats the max voltage hynix chip based ram can handle normally??
*
DDR1 or DDR2 ? For DDR1 i think its around 2.9v and for DDR2 is around 2.2v.

QUOTE(baok @ Oct 16 2006, 11:37 PM)
that hynix ram can reach DDR2-1066 at 2.5v.. the ram from mjoe right??? thumbup.gif
*
You're gonna risk the ram by frying it at that voltage.
