wan to ask, is normally bt-d43 single sided kvr 512mb ddr400 is a crap? only double sided one is a gem?

arj used to hv single sided 512mb ddr400, but seems it's worse

buying these rams are like goin genting casino.
wont know u come back winner or loser.
some might even hit the jackpot!

suggested an active cooling when using 3v and above.

trust me its a crap when 512mb on single sided.
i test many of those.

single chanel can do 220. dual channel worse.

check many previous pages b4 when i post i test single sided 512.
even me among the 1st to get those ram from my pc.
if u're planning to oc dun get it.
coz how can u OC if one chip running 64mhz rather than
double sided ram running 32mhz/chip.
looking by those number i can see 32mhz got lotsa room to OC.

For nForce 2, it's true as double sided are hindered by talkback and stuff like that and the nF2 archtecture isn't that well designed to cope with such matters. Double sided OC'ing demands greater luck in reaching high FSB's and that also with certain sacrifices. Like for my BT-D43 double sided, I had to disable clocks-per-command in order to hit 250 Mhz.

Yup, because you reduce the cycle time. So the ram isn't stressed out. But, performance will degrade as a result of that. So you have to find the balance where you actually gain back performance with CPC off.

sure DT-D43 lar.i just buy 1 clock at 272Mhz stable now!

i dont thinks so larr. some ppl here find tat new batch of BT & DT are not really clockable chipset.

Mr_47 : all 3 of the stick should run fine as long as u set them to the same timings
3 sticks will run dual channed but only on a NF2 platform if i remember correctly

u mean if we dun oc the kvr, the system will BSOD?

u cant set them differently, but different sticks may come in different stock timings
think you get what i mean now

NF4 isnt thatttt bad with hynix chips, just that i guess u wont be able to max them out
some may even be better on a NF4 with nice tweaks

any sightings around kl?
my friends say around pj/lowyat very hard to find already.

if im not mistaken Kingston doesnt use BP pcb at all

there are quite a few others with KVR D43 that managed to get your results, so i think its more of luck on which stick u get rather purely the pcb itself

So the worst thing that can happen is only can't boot up..?

Electrostatic damage I transferred a stick of ram bare naked all around town (means Kg Baru - KLCC - Lowyat - and back to Klang) in my jeans pocket also nothing happen. This is a humid country lah. Touch the casing metal part one time before poking around and don't work on a fuzzy carpet and nothing will happen.
