Wave still better and smooth phone..

btw OMNIA2 is using winmo.. still waiting for improvement OS mayb wp7 can really fight...
interm of hardware SPEC, WAVE much more higher..

Omnia II touch screen still not so sensitive.
Sometime need to press really hard to make it work.

planning to get a phone.

Interested features
- GPS - Must be able to run Garmin in the phone.
- Camera - decent one with flash
- Comes with FM radio

Can you guys recommend ?

Currently, Nokia E71 fits the spec i want. Any others to recommend?

I've got a budget from 1k++ I can try and cough up more between these three desired models.

Which is good in terms of value buy/functionality/performance in a nutshell?

Nokia x6/Nokia N900/Sony Ericsson Xperia X10?

if you want something easier and smooth.. Xperia X10 is for you..

Xperia X10 using Android OS , it has nicer camera , better processor [1GHz Snapdragon is ]

the disadvantage is.. it has no secondary camera and still has some bugs [maybe latest firmware can overcome it] ..


otherwise.. N900 is one of a good phone too... , it has good performance... and using Maemo OS .. , at least if you like customizing your phone.. Android and Maemo OS is suitable for you...


X6 using Symbian.. though... it is the cheapest and the most value for your money...
its has nice speaker and nice camera too... the 16GB version is nicer... as 32GB version still has some bug and lags problems[according to forumer]

N900 is best of three

1)Ori set is priced at RM2K & AP set is around RM1.5K.This is the good price considering that N900 is a flagship phone from Nokia.

2)N900 contain many functions.You can install Open Office to view/edit document file,IM-ing,facebook(can play games) & even use it as remote control.There bunch of fun stuff you can do with this phone.

3)This phone is one of the best multitasking phone out there.Opening apps are fast with 600MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor(same with iPhone 3GS).If you want more "punch" you can easily overclock it to 800Mhz.

For me, I will go for N900

VERY GOOD GPS System, LARGE screen, HD Video recording, long life battery, >1ghz processor (if possible)

I know of Nokia E72 too but i was told that there are some issues running Garmin in this model. Anyone able to run Garmin in E72 ?

By the way, beside Nokia E72. Any other choices? Perhaps Samsung or HTC? Anyone uses Samsung or HTC which able to run Garmin properly?
What are the models no?

One thing about Nokia E71 or E72 is that it is not a touch screen phone. Can't have those fancy applications running which makes use of touch screen interface. Besides that, the screen size is not as big too like those touch screen phone too.
Another thing i don't like about is how they house the QWERTY keyboard. If they can have something like sliding or touch screen kinda model. That would look more slick.

when it come to gps system... you can expect that it isnt as good as standalone gps unit...

yes.. for now HTC HD2 is the best but it has no HD video recording..

while iPhone 4 and Nokia N8 still not out yet[dunno how good their gps system and battery life]

so.. you need HD video recording..

I can recommend you to go for Samsung Wave.., So far Samsung wave has the best features , But the 3rd party applications and software still limited..[yeah.. Bada OS is still new]

well.. Nokia N8 is not has 1Ghz Processor.. it is 680Mhz.. So.. i guess the processor clock speed isnt your main priority right..

so.. if u dont mind about the processor ..
i can suggest you to go for : --> Samsung Omnia HD [ ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz with PowerVR SGX graphics accelerator]
Sony Ericsson Vivaz / Vivaz Pro [ 720 MHz with PowerVR SGX graphics ]


SO you need touchscreen aswell..

based on your budget and requirment.. the best could be Nokia N97 / N97 Mini

or maybe SE Vivaz / Vivaz Pro .. but currently their gps is bad [according comment from stimix]
