FYI, I did not rely on my parents funding to get all this. Only relied on it when I was 17 or younger. Have been working part time.. All the $ earned during part time spent here since food and accommodation is cleared off...

Also I don't spend mindlessly or needlessly like most noobs. I did not take the route of spending stage by stage like what I see happening here.. Fans fans, HOB HOB, then change to canister.. straight to what pro use.. Less problems.. Less headaches

All the best to all you aspiring aquascapers out there. If you think I gained results trough all this expensive gear, think again. (check Aquafair Entry 2008, use HOB, basic lighting, still not a bad scape)

Try having more passion guys. rather than just comparing my gears to yours.

Many tanks have different pricing..

let's talk about the most cheapo 2ft x 1ft x 1ft with bracing..

That'll definitely not go over rm 40..

whereas a customed 60cm x 36cm x 30cm braceless around ehre would cost you rm 120.. It's ADA size.. but not true ADA

An ADA one is around 500+

Other aquariums.. the acrylic ones or bend front ones.. not so sure.. Not a fan of curved corners.

howbout custom making ur own if u like? i standard two feet tank would cost aprox rm30 - 40 if its a custom? or u can customize ur tank to whatevr specs you want! and yeah im not a fan of those curve edges tanks.. or even curved or bowed tanks.. really gives me a headache

but nowadays to get discount is actually bargaining down to its recommend retail prices! lets say the RRP for a bag of amazonia soil 9l would be rm88, shops out there now are selling them at rm100 or rm120 like EA or those bigger pet shops.. to get a discount means ull only get down to rm88

and rm88 for a bag of ADA soil is kinda somewhat hard nowadays even! cuz alot of places i go they dont sell em at rm88
