need some suggestion... my new house has casement windows which is set quite low (3 feet from the floor) thus, if left open, its quite easy for someone just to jump in. However I feel like adding grill will spoil the aesthetics. Although it is in a guarded and gated area, i dont think i would feel secure without some sort of barrier if i want to leave the windows (and sliding door) open. I've done some looking around and came up with some choices:

1. invisible grill: i saw that some companies provide the invisible grill complete with built in alarm, thus if someone cuts the grill then the alarm will sound. Pro: it doesnt spoil the aesthetics. Cons: difficult to clean, not as sturdy as normal grill

2. mosquito mesh screen: no alarm, but will keep mosquito and bugs/cats etc out. Maybe deterrent to thieves but not exactly secure.

3. grill: will spoil the aesthetics, but basically more secure that the two options above.

FYI- the house will be equipped with CCTV as well, but maybe no alarm as it is gated and guarded.

Any opinions on these choices? Husband more keen on nothing at all but im not so convinced of the security.

oh no... sounds dangerous...

i just discovered that the house has built in alarm located at the window and sliding doors.. but not sure how the alarm works.. bit confusing coz i dont see the spec in the S&P
if install alarm, what would be your recommendation?

like a lock to the window that can only open 10"? what is it called?
