Just to add some update about Three Kim.

Met them few days ago, the boss seems nice and willing to listen to our issues when he came over to do the measurements. My home grille need to redo as previously we deal with someone not really specialize in doing grille. Both me and my bf didn't pay much attention as we trust the contractor we hired. Mana tau... But is not the contractor fault also la..we should have been more hands on on our own home and renovation.. anyway..

Three Kim has their own factory and even does the powder coating themselves. So they are more professional in this sense. Experience tells that for home grille really need to find someone who specialize in, not third party such as Liang Yee metal works if anyone heard of them. We were comparing between this two option then we decided to go with Three Kim. What we know is that the Liang Yee contact person will only provide the quotation, accept the payment and outsourced it. So, there's many things could happen in between.

Still need to further inspect after they done installing it. Price wise is quite reasonable and it still come down to the options you choose for.

Great service and friendly.
I choose 1.2mm and can really feel the grille looks sturdy and good workmanship.

Hi guys. This is my condo's grille design. I've looked around at many units and most have slanted lines and out of shape patterns within the grille. Maybe it doesn't bother most people but it really annoys the heck out of me. I believe it's mild steel or whatever it's called and sounds hollow.

But the access gate used in my condo's ground floor lobby is perfect. Design is similar and gaps are spaced out equally and symmetrically. Lines are straight. Patterns curve as they should. The thickness of the grille actually looks thinner but it feels solid all the way through. Would this be wrought iron?

Anyway, is there a metalworks contactor that can pull this off perfectly? I don't mind paying a little extra.

I'll message 3Kim on Monday judging by the posts in the last few pages but anyone else to recommend?

In the grille market, what are things to look for to identify if a grille is of good quality or bad quality? I've noticed some grille companies have noticeable wall plug at the sides of the sliding door grille, some doesnt (is this a good thing?)

Here are two samples from my condo. The first one is the usual mild steel unit front grille. The second one is used in the condo ground floor access gate (from developer). No guesses which looks better. Does anyone know what material and method is used for the access gate? The patterning looks very consistent and clean.
