QUOTE(console @ Sep 22 2010, 09:28 PM) Play for 15 minutes..berebut tv ngan my wife.. so you bought R2?Everything ok la.. MP really smooth...play with europe player, no lag... right now if you play in europe server maybe no lag - wait until the UK gamers got their game on Friday About the handling/physics of the game of what i read online , Simmers find the game in between sim and arcade , while casual gamer found it to hard in expert settings. Added on September 23, 2010, 8:54 am QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 23 2010, 02:36 AM) I don't know how I'd speak on the controls. imho GP3 is way better than GP4. I remembered playing GP3 with keyboard and putting on a full face helmet Lolz. Because in racing games, controls are a little more on a subjective manner. To me, the controls felt really really good and tight (as in solid) on the DS3. I have not tried it with a wheel yet, but from people who has... I've heard the game works nice with a wheel too. Best F1 game since F1 2000 and Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4. I This post has been edited by evoHahn: Sep 23 2010, 08:54 AM |

How late is your braking?
from your description you can adjust the front roll bar to be stiffer and push the brake to front. Downshift also helps braking. |

QUOTE(Oblivionz @ Sep 24 2010, 09:55 AM) What's the difference between the rear brakes and front brakes? i mean if i put more brakes on the rear, how will it affect the car? I might be wrong, because I'm not expert, but i will tell you based on my simming experience.the difference is how much brake force do you want to put on the front and back. Usually you start with 40% front and 60% back and start from there. Depending on race fuel/weight of the car, you can adjust to 60% front and 40% back. I didnt get to try the game yet, so i dont know how the setup works in this game. We at Malaysian Sim Racers (MSR - visit us at www.malaysiansimracers.com!) held races every Friday. Before race day, we do practice session - where we start of with a basic setup- then we do some laps to get feedback (It is important to do consistent laps!) - we start adjusting to suite driving style. This practice session take days usually. So if you want to have a good setups, be prepared to do hundreds of laps. |

QUOTE(belialjo @ Sep 24 2010, 11:41 AM) i think the issue here is understanding each & every turn on the track ur driving. you cannot attack all corners the same, some needs to be taken early some late. this will in turn determine ur braking points, which im also trying very hard to identify. use the distance markers on the track to give u an idea of where you should start applying brakes. i use autogearbox, TC off, brake asst off, ABS off together with the usual quick setup that the engineer provides. i dont mess with all the car settings as of now bcoz i as of now i am still pretty fine with the standard setup. i find the brakes setup pretty good as well as i dun lock up often but i use wheels & pedals so it might b easier on that than ds3. go with the "slow in fast out" mantra until ur able to classify the corners properly then u can b more aggresive. Thats why you have easier time braking into a corner.Changing gears manually to help braking - its a bit trickier because you need to match the engine rpm - sometimes you can swap ends doing it |

QUOTE(belialjo @ Sep 24 2010, 02:03 PM) i dun think f1 2010 has a clutch feature to simluate rev match, does it? so the same concept applies driving manual or auto. Brake then drop to the gear you want to take the corner in, steer, throttle out. rev match helps to minimize weight transfer when dropping gear to maintain balance of the car going into a corner. but most games dun really simulate this that well, some say Live for Speed does but i have personally not tried it. Like i said before, i didnt get the chance to try the game yet (steam unlocks the game this morning - and i have to go to work Pre 2009 F1 season, F1 drivers can just downshifts 7th to 1st gears in seconds and the onboard computer will automatically blip and control the revs. but beginning 2009 (IIRC) , the FIA ban this driving aids, meaning the drivers must be careful of downshifting. But the teams have found clever way around this and using anti-stall feature to help the drivers LFS have excellent clutch feature - just download the Formula BMW demo car and try it for your self. Tonite i will test what kind of clutch systems they have. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 26 2010, 04:32 PM) Spinning out in this game is nothing to be shy about. I prefer to manually save the car (counter steer) but sometimes the car save itself from spinning 360.Unlike many other racing games, if you spin you'd just look stupid at it. In F1 2010, you don't. Actually its a thrill to spin lol... make a mistake an 10 cars pass you and you'll have to race your nuts off to get back up there again. That intensity feeling is awesome. This game is getting lots of hate from the PC version - lots of bugs Lolz |

Yes. PC version.
There's nothing difference at all between the PC version and the console version. Its one and the same. Me and my friends thinks that the PC version is a direct port of the console version Lolz |
