Anyone knows where I can get a custom make optical cable. I need one that is about 8 meter long to connect my computer to my AVR.

that's why coaxial cables are sometimes better...long runs of this are easier to find than optical ones

I dont mean to burst ur bubble but i dun think optical cable can be customised. They are normally factory terminated right?

you dont have to seal the end..
Take an open end optical cable, then take both optical cap on your player and receive, drill a small hole which your cable can go through. For my case I just use selefon tape to attach it, you can use some sort of adhensive glue to glue it on permanently too. Been using it for years, no problem on DTS transmission or what ever on your DVD. Do so coz I got the cable for free (left over). This post has been edited by Sky.Live: Apr 2 2010, 07:16 PM |
