Pio, from experience, the best way to get over it or help ease the pain is to fill your open slot for a best friend with some other ppl. Take comfort in friends or other family and try to compensate. It won't work like a charm but it helps at least.

What a way to start first date... Washing plates in the restaurant... lol!

Sometimes an open slot in the heart can be taken up by some other special person which will be a lasting and unexpectedly wonderful something.
