THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO:MEXT) SCHOLARSHIPS 2007

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce that the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarships for the academic year 2007 is open for application from 27th February to 31st March 2006.
Malaysian nationals who would like to pursue their studies in Japan are invited to apply for the scholarship. During the term of the scholarship, monthly allowances of approximately 135,000 yen (approx RM4,320) will be given to undergraduate grantee and 175,000 yen (approx RM5,600) to postgraduate grantee (amount are subject to change). Fees of the entrance examination, matriculation and tuition at universities will be exempted. A round-trip airplane ticket is also provided.

thanks for the link, bro uglyducklai. actually i am waiting for stpm results currently. hopefully i will be able to study in japan. studying in japan has been my dream.

this scholarship got 4 malaysians got it last year iirc all from CLHS penang ....i heard really freaking tough and not necessarily see ur academics is that true ah?
btw bidfordun why japan has always been ur dream?

yaya, i also heard from one friend that his friend spm results are not so good but he still managed to get it, so i am gonna try my luck here and hopefully i can study there.

hehe, japan is a heaven for an otaku like me.

for those who have applied for this scholarship b4, do we really have to sit for chemistry, physic n bio test? are those papers spm or stpm level? i think i have to study if got this kind of tests.

i heard that this exam they ask on physics only

but i heard that it is very very difficult for SPM candidates.so i not dare to try it ! maybe STpM level like u can handle de.Here any scholars???
i aso have a question,SPM candidates nid to study any faundation or any pre-U course if apply tat scholarship,or the scholarship already include tat??

Otaku,ur frenz is SPM level n manage to get tat,why?

hoho, interested in studying in japan also? good good, help each other, but now what shud we do? helpless here, i think we really need those who have applied it b4 to show us some guidance.

well, i've applied for the MONBUKAGAKUSHO scholarship before, in year 2005 i think
u can download the application form from their website
firstly, u'll have to submit ur application
if u're selected, u have to sit for a test
the test subjects varies according to wht u choose to study
there's science and arts i guess
i went for the arts one..so i had to sit for math, world history and english tests
after that, they will short list abt 20+ candidates for an interview
i only got till the interview part, wasn't selected for the schorlarship though

haha..well, ya. when i took the test, i just finished spm only.
i sat for math, english and world history
the math should be spm lvl add math
not sure if eng is spm standard or not
as i've nv learnt world history before, i just basicallyguess most of the answers ..haha

i think somewhere btwn 5-10 ppl got the scholarship

one more question, is the test like the real spm exam? like english has paper 1 and 2 while math also has paper 1 and 2?
