Hello, I asked the people there already, they said that it opens around June/July. It's not May. It's more accurate to know through email or most newspapers.

JPA is Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam.
Matriculation is a PreU course. If you are referring to Malaysian Matriculation, you'll have to get the application form from your school administrators during form 5.

As fas as I know from my engineering profession, maybe generally:

1. NUS and NTU's ASEAN Postgraduate Scholarships, for coursework studies only

2. NUS and NTU's Research Scholarships for graduate degrees by research, usually for PhDs

3. Other scholarships in Singapore such as Millenium and A*Star scholarships

4. Japanese Monbukagakusho Postgrad scholarships

5. British Chevening scholarships

6. Australian National University Master scholarships

I am sure there are a lot more but not all of them suitable for yourself. Some of these sponsorships require TOEFL and GRE scores.

Well I'm looking for that as well!!
Well usually oversea university agencies in Malaysia do have some information about scholarship.
For UK: If you go to SS15, opposite Taylors Subang Jaya, you see a few UK uni agencies (SEA offices there) maybe you can ask for scholarships..
for Aus: There are some uni agencies that handle some Australia and UK uni - maybe you can find them and ask. It's opposite Taylors Subang Jaya at SS15.

I am planning to go there once I go back to Malaysia. I'm currently doing my degree in UK now. If I can get scholarship for masters, I might continue my studies here in UK.

u can get scholarships to study overseas from JPA as well. although u go through the same office as the undergraduate applicants, ur application is processed by a different department. not many people know JPA sends students to study masters overseas. a couple of chinese friends of mine in london were bragging of how easy it was for them to get em (this was in 2003).

however, i believe all administration of students studying overseas have shifted to the ministry of higher education, no longer by JPA. so the scholarship management might also have shifted there as well. do check.

hmmm...
one thing wanna share with all of u...
sometimes..JPA doesnt look at interview at all..
but basiccally thy look at your result...
they will pick a high scorer sutdent...90% of the mark come from the result and onli 10% from the interview

I have a question to ask regarding the Jpa scholarships. Currently, I am offered a scholarship by JPA for medicine. Right now...i have to do my a-levels first and im currently posted to India for my medicine course after I finish my a-levels.

I was just wondering whether the current placement of University is fixed or we will have to choose later which country that we prefer and based on our a-levels result? rclxub.gif

Please reply to me for those who know about the procedure. Thanx cool.gif
