Hey fellow Nikon fans...  I bought a D5000 in Nov/Dec 2009 and now feel like upgrading to D90 now for the built-in motor. So if anyone's interested in my D5000, pls drop me a PM. I'm from Penang, can arrange to view in Penang. It comes with 2 batteries, 17-55mm kit lens, Nikkor 35mm f1.8 prime lens and a bag... thks.

rgds,
ronn

Oww, nice list man. Thanks.
No budget for lens, maybe next time.
The UV filter a abit steep. I remember I saw some UV filters cost in between RM60 - RM100. Good enough?
* Other ques: Let say if I don't use the camera for 1 or 2 days, is it ok if I just leave it inside the bag? I still don't know the dry box settings.
I read kmarc's thread, that we need to flash the lens once or twice a week to kill all unwanted fungus.

u left something.... AA battery for ur speedlight... around RM120... if u jus wan a UV filter to protect ur lens, RM20 aso got...  laugh.gif
*
QUOTE(zeist @ Apr 15 2010, 08:55 PM)
Speedlight using AA batteries? I don't have AA rechargeable batteries. My 2 previous sets already went down the bin, useless product. I won't buy GP and Energizer anymore.
RM20 too chapalang  sweat.gif , willing to pay a bit more for assurance.
*
ooops sori doh.gif ... 4got bout d battery.
as for drybox, some drybox using digitally computerised humidifying system. u just need to set the target, lets say humidity at 45%. if humidity goes beyond 45% threshold, d system will on until target is achieved.

Like that electricity bill add 20%.  rolleyes.gif Actually I have this cabinet glass display. It's empty at the moment but this thing collect dusts very easily.
If I don't use the camera 1 or 2 days, leave inside the bag, is that fine?
Found this lenspen, looks cool.

When do you use the tripod?  rolleyes.gif
*
not 20% la.. 5w power consumption only. furthermore it will auto cut off/on whenever needed.
i put a pack of silica gel in my dslr bag & function like drybox oso. so leaving 1 ~ 2 days i think shud not be a problem.
wow thats lenspen cun... where can i get it? my current lenspen i use it for lcd cleaner already doh.gif . need a replacement...
tripod come in handy for low shutter speed snap...

b]wravez:[/b]IMO, changing frm D5000 to D90 doesnt count as significant upgrade
u practically not upgrading in terms of performance, since D5000 n D90 uses the same sensor
u only get the AF motor which is aint much difference, the only cheap lens that utilise it is 50mm 1.8
u sell off D5000, pay extra to get D90, then pay for the 50mm 1.8, the $$$ i thk is enuf to buy 50mm 1.4G d
r u gonna buy other non motor lenses? such as fisheye or 85mm in d near future?
no then better keep D5000 n upgrade to D300s or D400 nxt time is more worth
n Nikon is gonna replace their lenses with AF-S sooner or later
jz my opinion  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
i agreed wt General_Nic. frm my pov, if upgrading frm D5000 to D90, will only hv subtle improvement.
however, goin to D300s will shows an obvious improvement instead. anyway, dats just my 2cents.

hi guys,
i need to buy dslr , which is nikon brand cos im quite familiar with it GUI cos been using D40 before this...

my budget seem around RM2k i guess

model that i interested right now is D3000 & D5000.
i would take D5000 but got tight budget, so mybe D3000
but its function less than D5000 i guess.

my area of photography just people, nature. sometime foods.

so, i need some view from u all.. take D3000 now or wait more times to up my budget and get D5000? n im not in hurry to find dslr anyways
*
d way i c it, budget is an issue here & rational decision shud b considered.
if ur ok wt d3000 specs & if it fits ur budget then just go for it. or else u cud wait & save up more 4 d5000.
who knows by d time u hv enuf fundings, price of d5000 will further decrease & u wud hv xtra moolah for other things. eg. good filter & among others.
having said dat, its all up 2u...

Hello guys, i have a question, i am a D5000 user with 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 lens.
But why when i am in Manual mode, the aperture at 18mm is f/4.5 instead of f/3.5??
*
sori didnt quite get u bro. u mean manual focus or manual mode (as in PSAM) ?
anyway, in manual mode (PSAM), u hv to press & hold d apperture button & rotate d command dial to ur desired apperture, which is in ur case f/3.5 .
