Meh, nvm fork out the money for the HOYA CPL 52mm. Only problem is, no ppl selling! LOL

This is what I plan to buy (full set), budget RM3K max.
- D3000 + kit-lens = RM1,7xx
- Extra battery = To keep as spare - thirdparty Octopus RM60
- Lens hood = Need one to avoid flare - HB-45 RM100
- Speedlight = Afraid the built on one not strong enough, go for it? - Nissin Di622 RM470
- Good bag - normally kit got free dslr bag
- Dry box - Aipo 20L RM220
- UV filter = what do you suggest? Hoya HD RM165
- Lens cloth, brush, cleaning liquid - lenspen + giottos rocket blower = RM60
With only RM1,300, can I get the rest in bold?   

Hey fellow Nikon fans...  I bought a D5000 in Nov/Dec 2009 and now feel like upgrading to D90 now for the built-in motor. So if anyone's interested in my D5000, pls drop me a PM. The UV filter a abit steep. I remember I saw some UV filters cost in between RM60 - RM100. Good enough?
* Other ques: Let say if I don't use the camera for 1 or 2 days, is it ok if I just leave it inside the bag? I still don't know the dry box settings.
I read kmarc's thread, that we need to flash the lens once or twice a week to kill all unwanted fungus.

u left something.... AA battery for ur speedlight... around RM120... if u jus wan a UV filter to protect ur lens, RM20 aso got... 

Speedlight using AA batteries? I don't have AA rechargeable batteries. My 2 previous sets already went down the bin, useless product. I won't buy GP and Energizer anymore.
RM20 too chapalang  , willing to pay a bit more for assurance.

Like that electricity bill add 20%.  Actually I have this cabinet glass display. It's empty at the moment but this thing collect dusts very easily.
If I don't use the camera 1 or 2 days, leave inside the bag, is that fine?

haha...coz D90 having price drop...ppl would prefer D90 than D5k...unless u wan sell ur D5k for less than 2k...lolx...but that will be a big loss...

u practically not upgrading in terms of performance, since D5000 n D90 uses the same sensor
u only get the AF motor which is aint much difference, the only cheap lens that utilise it is 50mm 1.8
u sell off D5000, pay extra to get D90, then pay for the 50mm 1.8, the $$$ i thk is enuf to buy 50mm 1.4G d
r u gonna buy other non motor lenses? such as fisheye or 85mm in d near future?
no then better keep D5000 n upgrade to D300s or D400 nxt time is more worth
n Nikon is gonna replace their lenses with AF-S sooner or later

i thk when we upgrade we shud be upgrading in terms of image performance
not upgrade jz for those convenient features 

I would say ragut issue not so critical in Melaka, unless hot spots like Melaka Raya is different story. But if you're in a big group its usually safer. (Which is why I always shoot in gangs )

nikon G is rm1500 ++ only right?
sigmalux rm1700++

rm200 gap, i would bet on the sigmalux
they are very close in competition , both are good investment

general nic, If i wanna buy a 50mm f1.4 which 1 u recommend for d5000. I see the nikon is 1800 and the sigma is about 2200. Not much different also

i need to buy dslr , which is nikon brand cos im quite familiar with it GUI cos been using D40 before this...

my budget seem around RM2k i guess

model that i interested right now is D3000 & D5000.
i would take D5000 but got tight budget, so mybe D3000
but its function less than D5000 i guess.

my area of photography just people, nature. sometime foods.

so, i need some view from u all.. take D3000 now or wait more times to up my budget and get D5000? n im not in hurry to find dslr anyways

But why when i am in Manual mode, the aperture at 18mm is f/4.5 instead of f/3.5??
