my daughter lost her D5000 eye piece.... any idea where to get the replacement ? i've been to Keat and the OEM cannot fit .

Lens hood is mounted on the front of the lens, while D3000/d5000 kit lens' front is the focus ring which will rotate when you focus. So when it rotates the petal hood will rotate too and it looks weird. Round hood doesn't looks weird because when it rotates it still looks the same.

bcoz plug in plug out like tat, i worry the mini-usb will spoil 1 day,
just like my previous PDA phone mini-usb port tat spoil ady after 1 year..

Have narrowed down to either Nikon D5000  or Canon 500D but inclining more towards the Nikon.

Can someone suggest the best possible price for the D5000 with proly a single 18-55 or 18-55 and 55-200 . And where pls ?

Also is it really worth to just stretch it a bit and get the Nikon D90, I can see most of the features are pretty similar.

just now i test it..if turn off the pop up flash..cant remote it..even i just turn the pop up flash abit lower,the pop up flash dint even fire,so cant remote sb900..

i think u dont understand what is cls, maybe u should study it more
d90 have commander mode to control all the flash output.
cls doesnt mean only flash triggering, its more like controlling the power of few flashes
that u about to trigger based on how much power u want individually using a master to control all

Hey guys, i notice my kit lens is becoming loose from time to time, the zoom ring at 1st very stiff now become smoother already. When i zoomed to 105mm, i push the front of the lens it can zoom out to 18mm without turning the zoom ring. Does you all's lens zoom ring loosens with time?

last time i was aiming to get this tripod oso, since price quite reasonable
but after went shop to c it, it felt like toothpick compared to my uncle's A550EX which i always boro
so dumped the tot of getting A350EX 
but A550EX cost more, but since i can boro uncle's 1, no worry to get 1 anytime soon 

i kinda agreed ler, it really look like a toothpick for SLR from far away.
So kicitmai compare with all the rest 
but i m sure its enough to hold a d5000
Worst case, it can also be use as your flash tripod for CLS
