i think the film paid homage to the original classic film. i havent seen it but from what i read, Gojira appeared very little in it - despite the title.

For this new one, wish there's more Gojira's on screen presence - but that would be too common, would it?

so who are we to complain? the director doesn't give a rat's ass about what we say from this part of the world anyway.

and yes..the CGI's awesome ...and so was Heisenberg!

kids nowadays just probably know Godzilla from the 98 shitty version, and i believe they were probably still in diapers when the film was out.

and now most of them wanna become film critics. sad but true :/

the truth is that ... nobody cares what you think lah!

To sum it all, Godzilla seems more of a cameo here.

Overall it's not too bad actually.... some may like it. Some may loathe it.

And false marketing or not - the studios are still making money. We can complain all we want
