Man.. I love the 1998 movie! It was so much fun.
A Godzilla vs King Kong movie or something would be epic though..

Though the destruction looks pretty epic, I'm not exactly sold yet.
After watching Pacific Rim I seem to want other giant monster movies to top that.

Even the star of the original movie, Akira Takarada, will make a cameo.

I'm so pumped up for this. This better be worth all the juices and soils I've wet when I watch the trailer everytime.

I don't see whats the spoiler. You can see Godzilla more clearly, but I still can't make up the other monsters.

Those who have watched Godzilla, did our cinemas showed the Interstellar full trailer?

Watched it in IMAX 3D yesterday and there was a long 3 minute trailer being played so not sure if thats the one you're referring to.

For Godzilla, I'd say watch it in IMAX because of the big screen and not for the 3D. I hardly notice much of the 3D.
I understand the director wants to show the monsters from the human's point of view but after a while it gets kinda frustrating that you only get a glimpse here and there. And there were times when the monsters were attacking and the scene just suddenly cuts off/ ends just like that just when you're starting to get pumped up.
Didn't really like the design of the spider thingy though especially their flat head/body which kinda looks like plastic/wood.

Too much time spent on human characters and the long wait is expected so I'll not brag about that.

3/5

I actually prefer the 1998 Godzilla (which should probably be part of the Jurrassic Park installment where a T rex evolves into something bigger and uglier) just because it was more entertaining and fun. I mean there's a car chase scene and baby Godzillas running all over the place!

The usual countdown in IMAX before the movie starts was a real surprise because it was done especially for Godzilla.

I enjoyed it and thought they nailed a pretty good monster movie. The first Godzilla movie was good but it was too dark most of the time and you could't really see what's going on. The second one (King of Monsters) had more monsters and fight scenes but I thought it was a mess and the whole movie felt bloated. I did enjoyed Kong (the movie) but this one hits the right spot. It's just below 2 hours which doesn't drag and enough fights scenes which were well executed. You can see clearly what happens even in the dark. This movie is well worth the wait.
